“ Hotel very comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and pleasant. We felt it was too far away from bars and restaurants and needed the car if you wanted to eat outside the hotel. The hotel is right on a beautiful white sandy beach.
“ Top Tip: Clearwater beach close by and about a half hour walk. Beaches and restaurants at Madeira Beach, Reddington and Treasure Island all within a twenty minute drive.

The hotel looks a bit dated next to some very nice apartment blocks. The beach is absolutely fantastic. The hotel rooms are fairly small in comparison to other Florida hotels and therefore the bathroom is ridiculously small.
The hotel pool seemed quite busy compared with the amount of guests, and we saw many people park in the car park and use the pool so we imagine the pool is open to the public as well.
Overall, the hotel is as advertised, the beach is truly amazing, the staff are helpful and friendly. We told the hotel it was our first wedding anniversary and they had a bottle of fizz on ice waiting for us, which we did not expect and was a lovely touch. We would return here.
“ Top Tip: Right next to the "private" sheraton beach is a public beach and there is plenty going to entertain. We went to Guppy's for amazing food and atmosphere and The Pub - which doesn't look amazing from the outside, it just the most perfect place to sit outside - eat wonderful food and watch waterfront Florida.

“ We came to the hotel after being in New York and Orlando for the previous week and a half and I can truly say that the Sheraton Sand Key was the best 4* accommodation of our vacation. The staff were very friendly and booked us into a gulf view room on their starwood privilage floor (7th Flr) even though we had not paid for it. The room was very well presented and the furnishings of the usual high quality you would expect of a Sheraton. The room wasn't huge, especially as we had two adults and two children in a double queen room, but it was pretty standard for a hotel and I have stayed in a lot!. The view from the room was breathtaking. The pool area was always busy given that it's not a huge area and the pool isn't big either but then, the ocean is only two hundred yards away and we had trouble getting our kids out of the pool, they loved it - we didn't mind either as we sipped cocktails on sun loungers from the Turtle Bar close by. Some people have mentioned that its a trek to the beach but don't believe them, unless you use a walking stick. The beach is a little rough in places (ground up shells), but it's ok by the ocean and unlike the beaches in clearwater it wasn't too busy either.
“ Top Tip: We had tickets for Busch Gardens but didn't use them, for the three days we were there we did n't really leave the hotel other than for one sad trip to clearwater in the evening where we had wished we had eaten in the hotel (Rusty's Restaurant is top notch and very cheap too by UK standards, just over $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids incl a bottle of wine). My top tip is if your looking to chill and unwind, stay in the hotel and relax with a cocktail. If you want a massage book early they get booked up. - Enjoy it we definitely did and would go back anytime.
