Circa 39 Hotel

“ Great find. Nice room, nice pool area, great location , just across the road from the beach. Car parking an expensive extra. Good restaurant. Beach sun beds included, but umbrellas are extra.

“ Top Tip: Take the local buses ($2) to the main shopping and restaurant area a couple of miles down the Collins Ave.

“ Helpfull, friendly staff. From the photo gallery on their website it looks like the hotel is ocean front, but it is one road back, so very close. Included in the hotel rate, are sunbeds on the beach, however this does not include an umbrella! Also, it is more Mid Beach rather than South Beach, but having said that, I would still stay here again.

“ Top Tip: Great little shop/deli next door. In the evenings a trip down to Lincoln Mall is good for drinking, eating and shopping - taxi fare is between $8 and $10.

“ An excellent chic hotel, with simple but pleasant surroundings. Facilities were excellent as were the staff who were more than happy to assist with anything you needed. There is an in-resort fee of $10 per day per person, but for this you get pool/ beach towels and beach loungers at South Beach (across the road which are themselves $10 to hire each from the Beach vendor). You also get wireless internet, cable TV in your room and most impressive a really good continental breakfast of coffee, juice, crossaints, pastries, toast and jam and yoghurts. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and attended to daily with fresh towels and linen. Location is about 25 blocks from the main action at Ocean Drive/ Collins Ave. Walkable on the Board walk in 45 mins or a taxi ride in 10.

“ Top Tip: 1. Use the local bus which is $1.50 to travel from the hotel to the thick of the action. 2. Use the next door shop/cafe for snacks. It is cheap and good quality. 3. Walk to the action down the Board walk across the road to 15th street and enjoy the views and watch Miami in action, but catch a cab back from around 15th street (Collins Ave side to avoid any unecessary detours) and it only costs about $8. 4. Use the free interet across the Road in the opposite hotel to re-book your flights or on-line check (general internet is not available to non residents at that hotel)

“ The hotel is good value for money and the renovations are lovely. Our room was spacious. Reception and pool area are very trendy. Breakfast was good, the staff are friendly. Beach is across teh road and fabulous. It's a 20 minute walk up Collins Ave to Lincoln Road and Ocean Drive.

“ Top Tip: Beach is literally across the road. Best shop is Atrium on corner of Bond Street and Collins Ave. The Loft Hotel is also next door and has a busy sishi restaurant and roof top bar. The Shore Club is 2 doors down and is magnificent for an evening out in the open air.
