Brilliant hotel with great views from the bedrooms and 21st floor of Miami (especially at night).
Breakfast was good.
Really nice pool area.
Easy walking distance of the Port area which was very lively with lots of shops bars and restaurants.

About a 20 minute walk to the main shopping/eating area but very straigtforward to get around. Very large, comfortable room with a nice view, full bathroom and coffee-maker. Complimentary continental breakfast included (in the week we had the full restaurant continental as they didn't bother setting up the version in the bar). Nice pool area with bar, although no real views. Staff very good. Restaurant on the pricey side but nice. For a cheap, good meal turn right out of the 'motor lobby' and there is a really good Chinese restaurant on the other side of the road about 400 yards away; not fancy but very good. If you want to go to South Beach this is about 3 miles across the causeway; the local bus station is about 200 yards away and a single fare to South Beach is 2 dollars, frequent and cheap so not a problem.
If you want the buzz of South Beach this is not for you but if you want a good, convenient hotel with nice staff and facilities at a reasonable price, this is highly recommended.
