Hyatt Place Orlando Universal Hotel

“ My 10 nights here were fabulous. the rooms are spacious, although the bathroom is somewhat small, I had not actual problems with the room. The Shower is fantastic - powerful - which is hard to find in many hotels! The rooms are cleaned daily with new bedding and fresh towels available.

The breakfast every morning is fine, repetitive, but so is my breakfast at home! there is enough variety ranging from cereal, bread, bagles, fruit, yoghurt, patisserie, waffles/pancakes/cinnamon toast, egg muffins, juice etc.

The service at the hotel is impeccable - the staff could not have been more helpful. The gave me advice on how to get to places, where to go, recommendations etc. Anthony, in particular, was great! The hotel offers a free shuttle to Universal daily (but we just walked) and a shuttle service to the Walt Disney Parks at $12 return - we used this to go to Epcott and Hollywood Studios. They also have a concierge to bok tickets and excursions. We took a trip to Clearwater Beach one day.

I would definately be going back to the Hyatt Place Universal as I do not like staying in the Walt Disney area, and most hotels in Orlando look like they are still in the 15th Century. The Hyatt is a bit more modern, is good value for money with excellent service.

“ Top Tip: Walgreens behing the Double Tree Hilton to get bottles of water and any other stuff. We had a 14 day Universal pass and this came in usefull as we went the quite a bit, especially to City Walk to have dinner and drinks in the evening.

“ Lovely hotel, great location. We did not have a car and got around perfectly fine. 10 minute walk to the Universal citywalk entertainment complex and both Universal theme parks. We got a 15% benefits card for a selection of restuarants on Citywalk (as the Hyatt Place is a Universal partner). TGI Fridays around the corner and a number of bars/restaurants and a Walgreens within 5 min walk. 1 minute from the visitors centre where you can get theme park tickets and I-trolley tickets. I-trolley stop G4 is just across the road from the visitors centre.
Breakfast - great continental selection of fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, bagels, toast, tea, coffee, juice etc
Free WIFI and two computers to use with free print facility for boarding passes.
Checkout was at 12 and we asked for a later checkout-no problem.
Only slight criticism is the very loud air conditioning unit which we got used too.
All in all, we had a great time and very very impressed and would def stay again.

“ Top Tip: Go to the visitors centre-lots of coupons booklets for the outlets and restuarants and general advice.
Visit Cabarros Italian restaurant-fantastiv food and service.
Visit the Bob Marley restaurant (even if only to have a drink)-great atmosphere with live band (also can use 15% card of for food).
If you want to walk down international drive but don't want to get 2 i-trolley buses-go to stop G12 and walk through the Pointe Complex-this will lead you to International Drive and the red line.
Oh and my last tip is to get a Milkshake from Johnny Rockets-they are divine!
