“ Bedroom was small and a bit tired but the bed was big and comfy and the a/c very efficient. The hotel does not have a pool but it is right on a good bit of Waikiki beach so it doesn't matter. The restaurant on the beach terrace is excellent ( we chose the 4 course house menu which was very good value) with fabulous views particularly at sunset. It is quite a walk into Waikiki centre and to bus stops but we were pleased with this as it gave us plenty of opportunity to get excercise.

Top Tip:
We ate at Dukes canoe bar several times. It is on the beach at the Outrigger on the main street in Waikiki - great atmosphere and good food.
The beach at the New Otani hotel is as good as any in Waikiki and quieter

Great position right on the beach with a park next door. Easy to find by car.
The park separates it from the bulk of hotels and shops and particularly at the weekend you get an idea of how the locals live. It suited us very well and everything else is within an easy walk..
Rooms are small for USA but comfortable and with good staff and 2 great restaurants in the hotel. We would definitely return and in fact did so in early December.
