“ Friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is a bit jaded and has clearly been a top class hotel when it was in its in its prime. A ten dollar taxi ride from the main train station.Reasonably close to the main attraction for tourists -the waterfront bay area, where there are lots of cruises and boat rides available. A 30 minute walk to little Italy gets you to the best restaurants. Recommend the river taxi, good for getting about cheaply, although the schedule is vague, to say the least. City is developing areas to attact tourists-a work in progress. Lots of history. Trolly bus tour is good value with the patriotic guide relating how the Americans beat the British. I would recommend this hotel and Baltimore for a short city break.

Top Tip:
The newly (in the last 5 years or so) bay area. Lots of pubs, shops and restauants.
'Tir na nog' Irish pub on the waterfront bay area. Not really Irish but a good choice of beers and great views of the harbour.
Trolly bus guided tour. Good value and lots of history.
River cruises-interesting and informative.
Little Italy-great choice of retaurants.
Water taxi-good for getting about.
