New York Hemsley is now part of the Starwood Family. The hotel will start some technical and aesthetic renovations in mid December that will transform the New York Helmsley into the new and improved Westin Hotel, starting from May 2012.
The renovations will not create any inconveniences to guests.

“ The room was lovely but did not like having to use paper cups for coffee. I am a tea drinker and that was not catered for, only had a coffee machine. No free wi-fi in the room and had to pay for use of the fridge. Most disappointed there was no bar but that could have been due to the hotel undergoing refurbishment, there also did not appear to be any "social area". All in all good room, good location, but would not go there again because of lack of bar and attention to detail.

“ Fantastic location and thoroughly enjoyed. I sent e-mail prior to arrival as it was our wedding anniversary and a 60th birthday - were given deluxe room and bottle of champagne. Can't beat that.

“ Stayed at the Helmsley for 3 nights whilst on a weekend break . It was in an ideal location. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was ideal.it was a good size and clean.
“ Top Tip: We enjoyed 2 meals in a lovely Italian restaurant called La Giara a few blocks away
