Fantastic - love the hotel and the staff are really friendly. It is in a quiet location away from the town so not suitable if you want easy access to town. If you want a great view though and peace and quiet, then its ideal
We were extremely dissappointed with this hotel. The reception staff did not speak English and we had to depend on the holiday rep to ask for basics such as a kettle and a toaster which were missing from our apartment. The apartments were not 4 star standard, very poorly furnished with thin walls which meant that we could hear the people next door talking and moving around.
The hotel was supposed to be a " short stroll" from the nearby village but in fact the short stroll was a bit of a hike entailing crossing a busy motorway bridge and a few steep hills!
The entertainment stopped around 9.30pm and the bar was understaffed which made it difficult to get served and when we did the bar staff were very unfriendly.
A beautiful hotel reasonably priced although 15 minutes from puerto dela cruise
a free bus service was on hand and proved very popular. Mainly german customers
all good - free bus shuttle service very regular to town p.cruz
Mcdonalds in P Cruz
La Quinta Park Hotel is beautifully situated about 4 miles out of Puerto De La Cruz just off the Autopiste. There is entertainment in the hotel but not really suitable for younger people. There is however, plenty of night life in Puerto, but as the courtesy bus only runs up to 7.30pm, if you wanted a night out in Puerto you would have to get a taxi back, costing around 12 euros, or use the public bus costing 1.10 euros. The food is excellent - with freshly griddled meat and fish available each night and lots of fresh fruit and vegetables. There is also a gala dinner every week with a programme of entertainment and dancing.
The hotel spa offers a running programme of activities every day. I used the gym which has a set of toning tables and squash courts and I had tennis lessons. the rooms were light and comfortable and cleaned daily. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Charco Square in Puerto De La Cruz is lined with several cafes, some with live music and is great place to sit and watch the world go by. On the square itself is Canarian live music. Molly Malone's is worth a try if you like a good old Irish sing song.
You can get around the island quite easily and cheaply using the local buses. It pays to buy a 'bono ticket' for 12 euros and get half price fares. Tenerife has some great organised walks of varying levels.
The room allocated on arrival was damp & smelly with no view, it was changed to one slightly better, basic but acceptable.
Food ok but a bit similar every night, drinks were ok (we were all inclusive!), some of the waiters were poor but got better on the last day/night looking for tips.
Not much to do in hotel although pool was good evening entertainment was generally lounge music !
Guests were mostly german, dutch & spanish not many English .
I enjoyed it as my cup is half full not half empty ! Would I stay there again, no
Get the free bus to Puerto Cruz (it's lovely) and eat there a couple of times to break it up. There's a nice Italian (maroon sun shade) almost opposite the irish bar round the corner from where the bus drops you off and if your late back a Taxi to the hotel is 13 euros
Hire a car for £88.00 for the week, it was less than most people paid for transfers/taxis. Its a long way from the south aiport.
Very nice hotel, close to the beach, nice and friendly people, great food but you have to pay extra for : tennis court, billard table, internet acces, gym, souna etc.
Recomended.
