I have read some reports about this hotel which were not good. I really can't understand this. Previous comments have said that staff were surly, rude etc. I found the exact opposite. We had a great time especially with the bar staff who had a great sense of humour if you treated them right. The animation team were great but I think could possibly review the evening adult entertainment. It is mainly aimed at children. The restaurant manager and waiting staff were excellent, I have been in 4* hotels where the service was diabolical compared to this one. All hotel staff were very professional and efficient. The only things that I did not really think were good were that the pool didn't open until 10:00am and most people are ready to sunbathe at around 08:30. Also the pool bar did not open until 11:00am, I felt that was too long to wait for a drink. There are not eneough sunbeds at this hotel, only about 25 and it was often impossible to get one.

This was a really good 2 star hotel, more deserving of a 3 star rating. I booked last minute and chose this hotel because it was incredibly cheap for all inclusive, right on the beach of an area I know quite well and love.
Whilst the staff aren't as adept at multi-tasking as british trained receptionists they are very friendly and the maids keep everywhere spotless-even if you do get your clean towels at tea time!
The food was actually lovely, despite other reviews I had read. Varied selection at all meal times, hot and tasty with a comprehensive drinks range from the bar. After 11pm yuo pay for drinks at around 5euros per short-but you get a liberal serving! Avoid buying the british brand crisps as they'll set you back 2euros a small packet!
Teenagers would probably be bored here although the beach is fantastic and there are masses of shops and lively bars close by on the other side of the road-which don't interfere with a relaxing time in this hotel.
Children would be well catered for with an enthusiastic animation team and a "grabber" machine that actually lets you win something!
Even my husband enjoyed our stay here and he's a bit "picky"! I would have no hesitation in booking Los Pinos again, even if I had to pay more for it-it was a fantastic bargain. As usual T/Republic give the best offers-I've been booking through them for many years now-you can snap up some great deals.

Top Tip Don't stay in the hotel all the time-get out on that beach! It stretches for miles and you can enjoy a brilliant [and healthy] stroll through to Pineda-another lovely town with good bars and local places to eat [Pepe's/Mams and papas-behind Taurus Park Hotel and The Buccaneer-on the front].
Take the fast and clean train to Barcelona or just 2 stops up to Calella for endless shops and a lovely argentinian restaurant up St.Joans street, called El Brasserie-opens 1pm and does fab menu del dias for 9euros.
Walk to the right of Los Pinos up the beach and there are some great beach front bars but especially the Turkish restaurant and Mali Beach Club for a cocktail in sumptious surroundings while watching the sun set.

Good value for money. They need some new sunbeds because a lot were broken. Make sure you get in the queue for last drinks at 10. 45 because the bar shuts at 11pm.

Other than we had to wait on arrival as check in was two hour's behind due to the room not being ready, our stay was brilliant. Must say the food was repetative but good unfortunetly if like us you like your cuppa with your breakfast the tea was not up to scratch, most of the time the machine was not working and when it was the water was luke warm ( yuk ).

Top Tip Less than thirty seconds from the hotel you are on the main beach, instantly a beach front cafe is situated here and you can get a great cuppa with excellent service. Also the food is very good here.

The hotel was very basic but we didn't mind that as it was reasonably clean but the food was mostly inedible, lucky to get a bowl of soup at lunch, breakfast was foul I didn't bother after 2 days. One morning there were chicken nuggets for breakfast! My son didn't have one meal there so we spent a lot of money eating out even though we paid to be all inclusive. The worst thing about this place though was the staff, extremely rude, they often left you waiting at the bar while they had a chat and made you feel like you shouldn't be allowed a drink. They were much nicer to those who were paying cash. Sometimes the bar inside shut and they didn't open the poolside bar for a good half an hour. A really bad hotel, all the british people were complaining but not one member of staff spoke English. No air conditioning either/ didn't work.

The food in the hotel was of very poor standard being very plain and basic, not much variety, luke warm and the queueing system to enter the dining room was bad.The rooms and towels were cleaned and changed daily and the view from the balcony was very good.

Top Tip The beach was right next to the hotel and was excellent. The shops and restaurants were also only a short distance away.

The Hotel was in a lovely position adjoining the beach and the staff accomodated you if they possibly could with any requests. The only downsides was the pool area being small but adjoining the beach counteracted that problem, also the serving of any all inclusive drinks whether hot or cold being served in plastic beakers !!

What was supposed to be a wonderful relaxing holiday turned into a nightmare.
It really was a holiday from hell!
According to the tourists there the hotel had been downgraded from a 3 star to a 2 star. All the staff working there are very rude and unhelpful.
First we were put in a double room when we had booked a twin room. We had paid for a sea view and did not get one. In our first room(the double) we had loads of ants in the room.
They were very rude and uphelpful about changing us and did not change us till the next afternoon and we still had no sea view. We had to wait 3 days to have our room cleaned. No clean towels in the meantime. And once they cleaned the room, all they did was put clean towels in the bathroom and empty the bin. They did not even attempt to clean the hotel room other than put clean towels in.
You had to pay for the TV if you wanted it to work. Train runs every half hour past the end of the hotel (very load).
There is only 1 pool not a number of pools. Pool was not heated. No sport and leisure activites available at the swimming pool. The pool bar was never open (not once). Jacuzzi was broken for 2 days as was the pool table for 2 days.
We booked All Inclusive however there were no snacks available during the day even thought it is stated that you can get them on the website.
Intertaintment was rubbish!

FOOD WAS DISCUSTING AND WE GOT FOOD POISONING.

Someone soiled all over the ladies toilets (on the floor, toilet seat, everywhere) in the reception area and it took 2+ hours for it to get cleaned up, since we had by then checked out there was nowhere to go to the toilet.

We would definately not go back or recommend this hotel to anyone!

Top Tip The Drunken Duck and The Ship. Two english pubs. Really good and owned and run by english people. Food is good.

thehotel was 3star rated but in the view most of the people we talked to it would be lucky to make 2 star. the rooms were cramped and the furniture had just been thrown in the room. we had 4 beds in the room which were facing in opposite directions. only 3 of the beds could be head up to the wall as the bedside table, which was fixed to the wall, was in the way so the fourth bed was in the middle of the room. the sheets were changed only when we asked going full stays without being done. There were clean towels but the cleaning of the room left a lot to be desired. I think it was a matter of put towels in and spray airfreshner!! The food was hit and miss and definitely not English orientated, sometimes with very littlie to pick from. the pool food in the morning was two trays of chips and 1 with hotdogs and burgers which were put over water baths to keep them warm. when the weather was bad they were put on the bar next to a microwave. the entertainment was virtually non existent. the man in charge of it was totally useless and either hadnt got a clue what to do or was just plain idle. even the music quiz had the same questions week after week. Unfotunately a lot of the staff were of the same mould, not particularly helpfuland service very poor. Most of the time you cleared your own table at mealtimes and crockery and cutlery was very often in shoft supply. We resorted to cereal dishes with handles for coffee at breakfast as cups ran out regularly. the place seems understaffed and underfunded and very low moral in the staff. If you want a nice clean hotel with lots of activities dont go there. We also spent a lot of time consoling poor families who had booked 4 star plus holidays with Sun for you, who had arrived at there hotels only to find they had no rooms and wre all sent to ours!! needless to say there were not happy!! this happened every day not just a couple of times. No I would not recommend this hotel to anyone really and definitely stay clear of sun for you!!!!

Top Tip Train that runs every half hour to and from Barcelona. trouble is it runs past the end of the hotel.
