This Hotel was extremely welcoming - especially with a Port at 9.30am!!
Hotel was every bit a 4*. Extremely clean, nothing was too much trouble.
Roof top terrace is not to be missed - be warned the drinks are VERY expensive in the hotel.
Hotel gym & fitness suite was great - is a proper gym!
We only ate breakfast in the hotel but it was everything you could think of, and extremely tasty!
Only down side is that the hotel is in the business area of Porto so not near the beach or river. The hotel was able to get taxis no problems and usually about 6 euro to go to the river or 10 Euro to the beach.
Would use this hotel again.

I had a brilliant time at the Porto Palacio. The staff and service were of exceptional quality. The value for money by booking on travel republic was the brillliant. I will certainly be going back to stay at this hotel if these rates continue to be available.

If you have the time take the train from Porto to Pinhao in the Duoro valley. This was one of the best trips I've ever had on a train. The vintage house hotel in Pinhao is a strong recommendation for places to stay once you get there.

Very good hotel. As the hotel was not busy we were allowed to use the spa pool at no extra cost and the VIP lounge and restaurant on the 19th floor with beautiful views over Porto. Staff very good and pleasant.

Try the port houses e.g. Grahams, for free tours and free port tasting.

served the purpose admirably, as we were there for the classic car racing, and were out a lot of the time. reasonable value for money and excellent attention from all of the hotel staff. all of the hotel facilites we used were up to par, only real down side was that there was no outside area, garden, bar, cafe etc
