one of the nicest appartments i've ever stayed in. 10 min walk to beach (down a lot of steps tho haha) and a 10 min walk if that to the strip.
this place is deffinatly aimed more at familys as there was a lot of children, but saying that albufeira in general was full of familys with children.
only 1 fault with this apartment was the sheets where only changed once a week, and if you're there for 9 days (like me) then its not changed at all. oh and also request a balcony, or you won't get one!

Top Tip if you head towards the strip try the stone grill i think its called. lovely resturant! they bring your steak out on a stone to cook yourself. also old town which is 5 euro in a taxi is worth at least 2 vistits.

The apartment we stayed in was lovely. It was very spacious and extremely clean. From our balcony, we had a view of the apartment complex across from us but the beach was only about a 5 minute walk, however, there were a lot of steps (on a wooden boardwalk) which were quite steep, sometimes you were about 10 feet up from the ground, it was a little scary! The reception for our apartment was in the main Hotel, The Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos, behind the main hotel reception. The staff on the main hotel reception desk were more than a little rude and unhelpful to those staying in the apartments so watch out! We booked bed and breakfast (breakfast was a buffet in the main Hotel) there was a nice selection for breakfast but the staff seemed unprepared, by 9.30am I ended up drinking coffee from a bowl as they had no clean cups left! But, overall, it was a really enjoyable, with only these little details to complain about.

Top Tip We came across a place called the Martinique Velha just off the roundabout where the Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos is located, they served food until 11.30 or 12 at night, the staff were really helpful, the food was good and the prices were excellent. (The cakes there were excellent too.)

Hotel was excellent, staff were friendly, but were a little slow in service. Could have done with a little entertainment. Hotel was very clean and well maintained. We were very happy with this Hotel.

Top Tip Found a lovely restaurant around the corner called Casa Velha and a visit to the old town is a must for shopping and eating, also entertainment. We also found that the old town was cheaper than the strip.

For a self catering holiday this is one of the best we have had, we took the option of a run of the house 1 bedroom apartment and were delighted with the accommodation.

We got a large well equipped kitchen, sitting room with pull out bed, TV and balcony off, a bedroom with twin beds and of course a bathroom.

We were on the first floor of a 2 story block but I would advise that if you are not fully fit you may have a problem with your luggage as there is no lift and you do have to lug your cases up the stairs.

The TV only has news channels and Euro-sport but I found the first 3 or 4 channels had quite a few films in English so if you wanted to relax with the TV on an evening or like me you couldn't sleep there was enough to watch

The wooden steps to the beach were sturdy and had seats part way so you could catch your breath if you needed to

Would recommend these apartments to anybody who wanted a relaxing holiday in well equipped and clean accommodation the only downside were the locals who made a lot of noise at times and were constantly begging for food but then again the gulls here are just as noisy :-)

Top Tip Turn right as you leave the complex just past the roundabout on the left hand side you will find the Coyote bar where you can get breakfast for 1.90 euro drinks are 1.50 so best value around

Just off the Strip is Tom and Jerrys another place with good food

Beautiful hotel with spacious rooms. Very clean, modern and close to the beach, restaurants, bars etc. Pool area was lovely with reasonably priced food and drink. We would definitely return to this hotel.

Top Tip Request a balcony or terrace if poss as some rooms don't have anything.

Staff were very friendly, the apartments were clean and well maintained, we ate at the chip shop and the chinese that were both within 2 mins walk of the hotel, the chinese buffet was nice, the chip shop was run by some ex pats, they were very friendly, serve nice food and were able to give us lots of local knowledge.

Top Tip Good idea to take a few tea bags, coffee and sugar with you if you are stay for just a few days

First class from the moment we arrived till we sadly had to go home. The staff were excellent and were very friendly.
The Appartments were spotless and very spacious, perhaps a kettle might have helped but it wasnt too impotant to us.

Top Tip It was a bit out of season so a lot of places were closed however there were a few nice bars and restaurants open where the food was good quality. There was a good restauant Portugese which was very nice and the "universal pub" for good drinks and meals in a more relaxed atmosphere

Absolutely fantastic for the price we paid!! Fist time i've booked a holiday over the internet and at the price we did not have very high expectations. But the apartment was really nice and clean. Lovely views from the balcony over the hotel grounds and out to sea. Hotel was very smartley kitted out - lovely cocktail lounge. Breakfast was awesome with all the usuals plus champagne and smoked salmon!! We've stayed in several 5 star hotels and this was easily as good as any.

Top Tip Recomend the Italian resturant just up the road from the roundabout at the top of the hotel road.

We have stayed at the Bedros dos Bicos apartments before and loved it so returned again. We were booked into another apartment and the Pedros for only 3 nights but decided not to stay (did not like) so booked into the Pedros for the whole of our holiday. The apartments are really comfortable and modern although the beds could be better.

I was a bit disappointed this year that the grounds did not seem to be as nicely kept as last year, in fact, we were there 10 days and no-one attempted to pick up litter and lost clothing below the balcony.

We did a tour of the hotel and although does not look brilliant from the outside is beautiful on the inside.

Top Tip The local beach is lovely and the Oura Bar although small is very welcoming.

Don't shop at the local supermarket as it is geared to the tourist. Use the Modelo suipermarket which is a lot larger and cheaper.

Studio booked, upgraded to one bedroom apartment. Only negative side was that the cooking facilities were limited and a lack of british television channels.

A forty minute walk to the Old Town, maybe not suitable for the elderly.

Top Tip Fantastic beaches. 'Go India' - A fantastic and authentic Indian Restaurant.

Excellent location, we had a 1 bed apartment which was a lovely surprise as booked a studio flat. There is a definate feeling of "them and us" regading the apartments and the hotel. The hotel reception will not deal with you regarding anything, you are shunted to the back reception and even the pools are separate. Pool accessed by magnetic key and quite picturesque. However, we did have one gripe, i have never stayed in a 3* let alone a 4* where i have had to pay 2 euros daily for a sun bed cushion. Though it was better than paying the 15 euros a day on the beach for 2 bare sunbeds and a parasol! No matter which way you try it though, you cannot avoid getting to the beach without going down heart attack hill.
This is a part of Albufeira that i have never been to before, but would definately go back. A lot better value for money in this area and the "strip" only 10 mins away.

Top Tip Avoid the "chippy" next to Eddys Bar at all costs. The dearest lunch we had all the time we were there,13.75 euros for a pie, chips and gravy! Wouldn't have been to bad but the PUKKA PIES were stodgy, missing the meat and not very pukka. we were charged £1.75 each for a beaker of gravy that had never seen the light of ay as the advertised Bisto and the "genuine home cooked and peeled chips" had never seen a peeler or home cooking in their life. It was horrible.

Quinta Pedra Dos Bicos apartments were everything I expected and more. The apartment itself was clean and the kitchen facilities and utensils were equally as clean. The blocks held just the right amount of apartments with fabulous pool views on one side of each block.

The reception staff and maids were very friendly.

Definitely ****

Top Tip The strip is the place to be for all ages. Would recommend 'Fredi's' restaurant - very friendly, excellent food, great value for money.

The hotel was amazing, we booked into a studio apt and were upgraded at no cost to a hotel room with breakfast included. The room was cleaned daily, all areas of the hotel and pool were spotless staff all helpful and friendly. Within 5 minutes walk of restaurants bars and beach. Will definately return to this hotel.

Fantastic location 10 mins walk to 'The Strip'. Excellent swimming pool kids loved it. Kiddies pool was 0.65m deep, adults pool went down to 2.2m. Fatastic features at the swimming pool - play ground - swing / Slide / bouncy castle.
The pool bar - excellent again fantastic chap managing (Chico)
However, living in the apartments meant that you felt isolated from the hotel and the activities that are going on.
The beach within the area is difficult to get to in the sense that the hotels / Apartments are at a higher level and there is a step walk down to the beach. The beach at Oura is rocky

Top Tip A beach further out (10mins ride in a cab) - Faisal is out of this world - worth a visit.

Apprtments were very clean and tidy. Plenty of room and the facilities were good, apart from lack of hot water a couple of nights after 8.00 pm. The beach was 5 minutes down the hill and steps (15 to come back up) and was very good, well desrving of its blue flag status.

Top Tip The beach was 5 minutes down the hill and steps (15 to come back up) and was very good, well desrving of its blue flag status.
Farnells restaurant off the strip was very good and excellent value - 23 euro for 2 good steaks and all the trimmings with wine and beer!

Lovely hotel, right by the beach. The strip is only a 5 minute walk away but for a quieter evening there are plenty of nice bars and restaurants right by the hotel. Highly recommended.

Initially I phoned the hotel to confirm my booking and discovered that the two rooms I booked were in different buildings, although I did request them together at the time of booking. However, on arrival the staff were fantastic and arranged two rooms together in the hotel. Could not fault the staff who were very helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and modern.
Only criticism was there were not enough sun loungers around the pool.

Top Tip The beach which was accessable from the resort was lovely, and the beach cafe did lovely food.
