Very quiet resort so if you like peace and quiet and not much to do the rafalet apt are a good base.
Apt very basic but everything you need.
We ate in the ajoining s'algar hotel were the food is very good, buffet style so something for everyone.
Staff very helpful .

Top Tip Small beach Alcafar short walk away, wonderful, quiet but also ideal for children.

When we arrived at the Hotel, to check in for our Apartment, our booking was not listed, and the guy on the desk made some phone calls to see what to do.
I am not sure what had happened, but I am pretty sure we would have had a problem if they hadn't had a spare Apartment.

Top Tip The Fiesta running from the Friday to the Sunday, in S'Algar, was excellent.

rafalet apartments are excellently located with a fantastic view of the sea. The s algar resort is so clean you can eat off the pavement!!!
Sheets and towels were changed 4 times in 8 days. The restaurant in the Hotel S algar is excellent value and the choice is extensive, this is where you eat whilst at rafalet if b and b or half board.
Would definitely reccomend this resort without hesitation. Only caveat is it is probably too quiet if you have teenagers that are into the clubbing nightlife.

Top Tip the supermarcet is very expensive and the staff miserable. buy whatever you can at the nearby bakery which is much cheaper and the staff are a delight.
for a nice walk amble along the coast for 15 minutes to the nearby fishing village of cala alcaufar - beautiful

Relaxing in a quiet resort with good facilities and friendly staff.

Top Tip Hire a car and visit places for evening meal as it is limited in s'algar. Es Castell, Mahon(at the port), Alcafar and Binibequer are good locations.

Rafalet apartments in S'algar are very clean and reasonably well equipped, the resort itself seems pretty quite although I did visit at the end of October and hence a lot of the resort had already wound down for the season,if you are looking for a peace and quite kind of break its worth considering.

Top Tip You will need a car to find a beach, and would definitely reccommend visiting the spar supermarket in nearby saint louis for any provisions as the one in S'algar is very expensive!

When arriving on the first day we spent around 30 minutes wondering where we had to check into it was all a little confusing, so we could had done with a little more information as to where to check in a map of the S algar resort submitted via email would had been a great help.

What a great holiday...

The accomodation is excellent - everything we could ask for in an apartment, air-con and satellite tv with a well-equipped bathroom (incl. hair-dryer, courtesy shower gel and hand wash) and a fantastic location right on the sea-front.

The hotel S'Algar pool is literally on the doorstep, with friendly staff and we never had a problem with getting sunbeds around the pool. Its a short walk along the coast to Alcuafar Beach, which is definitely worth a visit.

S'Algar is a VERY quiet resort - in addition to the hotels there is only one bar, two restaurants, one (very expensive) supermarket & a bakery/shop - but that was just what we were looking for and there is a regular bus service into Mahon & San Luis; for those looking to explore though a car is probably a good idea.

Not that much for the 18-30's to get excited about here but that was part of the attraction for us and if you're looking to avoid the stereotypical Brits abroad you won't be disappointed.

Thoroughly recommended.

Top Tip Make a trip into San Luis or Mahon to shop for groceries/general supplies rather than paying the extortionate prices in the S'Algar Supermarket.

'Asia' is a great restaurant well worth checking out for a special occasion - you may need to book.

It was everything we wanted, the accomodation was cleaned frequently and had all the bits and bobs you would expect.

Top Tip There are no cash points in the S'algar resort! Nearest one in San Luis a taxi ride away!

The Rafalet Apartments in S'Algar were ideal for us as we have little ones. We needed to store milk, so the fridge came in handy. The hotel people were very kind and had everything ready for us as we were a little late. The breakfast was nice and the view of the sea. We loved the little square where the restuarants and shops were. Had everything we needed.
The actual apartment was basic but ideal.
Would go there again.
