This hotel is perfect if you just want to chill. The pool area is right beside the beach very clean and tidy lots of sun loungers. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was the usual standard of 4* spanish hotel. A trip on the bus to Mahon and Ciutadella are both worth a visit. Bus stop outside hotel cost about 3 euros.A lot of people stay here to go hiking. Lovely green countryside. A car would be useful to visit all the other lovely bays we heard about.

Top Tip Take the walk along the coastal path to Son Bou. Alittle uneven in parts. Takes about 1hr 15 mins at a slow rate. Fabulous is the only way to describe it.

A really well run hotel, nothing was too much bother for the staff, the clients staying were a good mixture of all ages and nationalities, bang on the beach(just through a gate by the pool)just enough entertainment and facilities to keep you busy, good choice of food at both breakfast and dinner, (sweets were too good everyone ate too many)clean and comfortable with quiet areas if you wanted them.Would certainly go again and would recommend it for couples of most ages.

Top Tip Surrounding beaches good, but we drove to othe beaches also, didnt need other restaurants as hotel food very good but plenty of restaurants around.

Excellent Hotel with friendly staff. Very good food and plenty of it. Free drinks and introduction to staff at welcome meeting. In the evening the sheets were turned back and a chocolate placed on the pillows with a card with the following days weather forecast on it.and on our departure we recieved a gift and a thank you card. All very nice touches and well appreciated.

Top Tip An ideal resort pretty much half way down the island making it central to the other resorts towns and cities.

The hotel is very good and caters particualrly well for older people. This is shown by the number of visitors who return each year. This was our second visit.

At the time we stayed, the hotel was quite busy but there was a very relaxed, pleasant, friendly atmosphere.
The average age of the clientel was definitely over 60 which was good in a way because although quite busy, it was very quiet (no lager louts what-so-ever)

Top Tip Local beach is just a few steps away with plenty on space and was quite clean really.

On hindsight we would should have booked B & B only. Buffet dinner service became a little boring. We would have prefered waiter service at dinner which would have been more relaxing. Our error not the hotel.

Top Tip Beach cafe's restaurant great value and quality for money

I was dissapointed that I did not get a seaview room and on asking for an upgrade (for which I was quite willing to pay the extra cost) I was point blank refused and told that they were exceedingly busy and they did not have spare capacity. I did find out that others had asked for a change of room and did get theirs. I did e-mail them before my trip asking for a seaview room as my husband is disabled and a room with a sunny balcony is very beneficial for him, but this request was ignored. This was my fourth visit to the Santo Thomas Hotel and I find their amenities excellent and the food is very good and of good quality. The staff are absolutely wonderful and so very friendly and the cleanliness of the hotel rooms and public areas could not be faulted in any way

Another suggestion is that they upgrade their wheelchair facilities. The pathway on to the Promenade needs resurfacing as it is very pitted and the wheels of the chair get stuck. Also a gate and step at the Pool Bar needs to be made more accessible for wheelchair use.

Apart from the weasther and our dissapointment of not getting a seaview, sunny balcony we had a very good holiday. Transfers to and from the airport were also of a very high standard and the drivers exceedingly helpful.

This is a nice quality, well run hotel with pleasant rooms and excellent service. Everywhere was spotlessly clean, the food was very good with plenty of variety and something for everyone. The swimming pool and surrounding area were very pleasant with enough sunbeds for everyone without being crammed together. We even enjoyed most (not all!) of the evening entertainments which were much better than those usually provided in hotels.

We enjoyed our stay very much.

Top Tip The beach is only a few feet away, through a gate and down 5 steps onto a lovely sandy beach. The sea is quite shallow for 50 feet or so and thus it is lovely and warm, so swimming was lovely.
There is a life guard on the beach and flags flying to indicate if itis safe to swim. We had a red flag (don't swim) one day because it was so windy (this wasn't a problem for us as the area around the hotel pool was sheltered).
There isn't much to do in the resort. Half a dozen shops or so.The best places to eat were in our hotel. There were some footpaths along the coast which were very pleasant with regular places to stop and rest.
The shops in Mahon open from 10-1 and 5-? The bus times are not very regular so we hired a taxi, £33 pounds each way and enjoyed walking around at our leasure.

Hotel is situated in a vey quiet spot so you need a car for night life in other resorts.
It is ideal if you just want to relax and swim either in the swimming pool or beach.
Ideal beach for young children as it is shallow for about 150 yards

Top Tip Nice long walks either side of the beach

Had a fantastic time, a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Very impressed with hotel overall - cleanliness, efficiency, attention to detail were all first class. All staff - bar, restaurant, reception and chamber maids were extremely friendly and professional. Also impressed with hotel's attention to environmental issues. We were on half board and enjoyed the choice and quality of food at breakfast and dinner. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. In fact my mother is going again in October this year!

Top Tip We were happy to relax in hotel surroundings and on beach, which was literally a few steps from hotel gardens.

Lovely setting with superb swimming pool and grounds overlooking two beautiful sandy beaches. Extremely quiet resort with only 2 small supermarkets and a couple of gift shops and a farmacy. A couple of beach bars and bars in the few hotels there. Only negative comment is that the restaurant only served buffet evening meals which were OK but would have been much nicer to have full waiter service to avoid constant flow of people getting up from their tables, especially as there is little else to do in the evenings.

Top Tip Found lovely restaurant called '58' in es Mijorn 4 kilometres from Santo Tomas. Well worth the taxi ride for a lovely meal served in a garden. Limited menu but lovely all the same
