We have styed at the St Raphael twice before and new we would be looked after. Was pleased to see the new wing with new pool.It was also pleasing to see more British holidaymakers in the hotel though it still seems heavily populated with Russian tourists who are not the friendliest of people. That aside a great stay(cricket in room apart)and will return.

Top Tip We enjoyed Chesters Restaurant opposite.Big portions and reasonable.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Air conditioning could have been a bit colder. Rooms were spacious and kept clean. Pool lovely and great for the kids as it was not too deep. Breakfasts was good. Lots of sunbeds with plenty of umbrellas to go around. Evening entertainment could be improved. Kids enjoyed the kids entertainment. Could not do travelers cheques at reception had to go to Bank of Cyprus which was annoying. Generally really good!

Top Tip Go to Chesters and Molly Malones across the road - lovely food and great air con!

some parts of the hotel (such as general breakfast room and dining) clearly need updating as they are becoming very tired
since the majority of the guests were all inclusive Eastern European it seemed most events / services were geared towards them and there was much confusion and little information on how guests only on B& B or half board should pay for meals at the poolside bar.
-in fact it appeared quite open to abuse by those who "knew" the system.
-also, not impressed to see locals using the pool and all facilities at no cost during the day since there is no control on who can come in!

Top Tip Embers Restaurant -across the road and about 400-500M walk
-very nice owner - family run, excellent food.

Fab hotel, staff very pleasant. Standard rooms are a bit small but overall the hotel was lovely. Would go back again.

Top Tip This hotel has it's own beach and you can go out on pedaloes and canoes free if your staying AI at the hotel.

Second visit. Food, rooms, location, views and staff excellent. Entertainment could be better. Childrens entertainment a little repetitive. Would definitely go again.

Top Tip Didn't leave the hotel.

Friendly, helpful staff. All inclusive good value for money. Nice touch is not having to wear a plastic wrist-band during your stay!. The hotel has beautiful grounds which are kept very clean and tidy. The gardens lead directly down onto the beach which is raked every morning. The kids loved the free use of the pedalo's and canoes.

We booked a Twin Inland View room but were given a Sea View room with a balcony on arrival, which we were very pleased with. The room was excellent and although the bathroom was in need of a bit of a make over it was very clean and functional. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more helpful and bottled water was delivered to the room every day. We were on an all inclusive package and were pleased with the excellent choice of food available.

Top Tip We were all inclusive so didn't try the local restaurants but there were several and they all looked good. The resort had its own beach which was clean and sandy.

The hotel and room were very clean and comfortable. The staff were pleasant and very helpfull. Beaches on Cyprus can be full of fag ends but the beach at the hotel is kept very clean and tidy with pots for cigarette butts, shame everyone dosn't use them. The sea is shallow and very safe for children with good sand on the beach. The only blot on an otherwise excellent holiday is the restaurant. We decided to eat from the al a carte menu. We were seated in the middle of the room which meant people continually walking round us to the buffet and the food was very disapointing. Can't comment on the buffet as we never ate there again. The breakfast buffet was average.

Top Tip Stay bed and breakfast and have your main meals at the very excellent resaurants 100 yards down the road.

Service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. Variety of food was great. Evening entertainment was lacking and would recommend that late snacks are available if all inclusive.

Top Tip We attended a wedding party at the hotel and the venue was fabulous (vietnamese restaurant). Service and quality of staff was brilliant. Would recommend St Raphael as a wedding venue

Could not fault the hotel in the slightest. The staff were very polite and couldnt do enough for you. The quality and selection of food is fantastic ! The hotel is spotless and is well maintained.
The three swimming pools were particularly nice and never crowded although we did visit near the end of the season.
The hotel has some lovely gardens and access to its own private beach which again is kept clean daily.
This hotel is ideal for young families as there is a kids club and plenty to keep them occupied. It also ideal for older people who enjoy a relaxing time, good food and nice surroundings.
My only advice would be to go all inclusive as prices are very expensive for drinks and meals in the hotel.

Top Tip To be honest there is not a great deal within walking distance and the local bars can be expensive. Lisa Bistro is worth a visit and so is Chesters bar if you want to watch the English football !

Hotel and Food were fantastic and the all inclusive was definatley value for money, however entertainment was limited.

Top Tip There isn't many alternatives in the local area to eat out or drink etc as the hotel is quite remote from the main resort

BEST HOTEL IN CYPRUS AND WE HAVE STAYED IN LOTS. FOOD WAS AMAZING ESPECIALLY THE LEBANESE RESTAURANT WHICH IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON ALL INCLUSIVE. GARDENS, POOLS AND BEACHES ARE EXCELLENT AND EXTREMELY CLEAN. STAFF WERE VERY POLITE AND EFFICIENT. NO COMPLAINTS AT ALL.

Check-in Date: 31/May/2009

The hotel & staff were excellent. However the evening entertainment was very poor for adults. No music in the pool area except for aqua aerobics lasting 30 minutes every morning. No music in the main bar. We went for my birthday celebration & stayed two nights. On my birthday the "adult" evening entertainment was a "Children's magic show". So my party of four made our own entertainment

Top Tip Hotel is right on the beach with a lovely marina

Check-in Date: 24/May/2009

Would not consider this as a 5 star hotel - 4 star at most. Felt very clinical, staff disinterested in guests. Drinks and food very expensive. Very clean, room good with excellent balcony however not suitable for 3 adults, beds very uncomfortable.
Multi nationality guests, seemed to cater more for eastern european clients rather than British.

Top Tip Beach excellent and sea lovely, clean and warm.

A great hotel for young kids with its combination of pools, beach, kids club and playgrounds. Only real reservation relates to the food - there are a number of restaurants but its nearly all a buffet service.
