Stayed at Kings HotelSeptember 2007 - 1..Yemens Bar right by the hotel is a lovely friendly bar, the staff there were lovely and accomodating.
2..Les Amis Restaurant (As you turn Right out of the hotel 2nd Road on your right) Excellent value for money on their set menu and fab food, with good atmosphere. (very popular - you may need to book)
3.. Next to Les Amis is a little Cyprus restaurant, (cant remember the name)Again Excellent value for money, Very friendly staff, nothing again too much trouble......Think this was the best value for money!
4.. Another place we visited was a restaurant called something similar to "PLOVIDA" (not sure on spelling) which was on the right on the main Road towards the Harbour, The food again very nice, but left an after taste when they tried to add extra drinks on the bill. The took them off on questioning. A couple of friends also went for an evening meal and they were shortchanged of 10.00 Cypriot pounds and this time the staff insisted the customers had made the mistake.(however they knew they had not)......Good food BUT BEWARE AND CHECK YOUR BILL!!!!
If you fancy the Tomb of the Kings we were quoted 10.00 for a arranged trip,We decided to go on our own. We caught the number 15 bus (80 cents each) which went right passed the entrance, and paid 1.00 each to get in, well worth going it alone.
HOPE THIS HELPS
