This Appartment complex was FANTASTIC , it was everything it said it would be and more. The appt was ideal and really roomy. Ours was right next to the pool so great for keeping an eye on the kids. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and nothing was too much for them. The complex was clean and tidy and very safe. The pools were great and the bar food was fine and reasonable and the entertainment was enough and quite sufficient. We will DEFINATELY come here again it was nice to have all the boxes ticked and have NO reason for complaint. In fact just booking for half term now LOL !
Some say it is a little way from restaurants but it was only a 5-10 min walk ( in the sunshine) and the beach was a little walk but the staff put on a courtesy bus.
Go to visit Albufiera "Old Town" it is beautiful (and there is a Lidel shop for some food for the way home!)
Eat at Logesteria (1st restaurnat on the left) we ate there most nights. The food is great and there is a play area for the kids.. Top tip eat before 7pm they have a "Tourist menu" 4 courses for only 7 Euros.. perfect.
Use the hotel shuttle for the beach as it is a bit of a hike but well worth seeing.

I have to say this was the best holiday i have ever had. The people in the accomodation were fantastic and the overall cleanliness of the place we stayed was superb.
Pool area was always very clean and the pools were fantastic.
Felesia Beach was stunning and the best place to sit and chill out.
Clean, friendly and affordable......Very nice place for a relaxed family holidays....
We had a large 1 bedroomed apartment, this was basic, but clean. There was entertainment each night in the bar this ranged from a magician to quiz night. There are 2 pool area's, 1 being close to the kids club and the bar and the other situated within the lawned gardens. The only critism I have is that the sunbeds were screwed to the floor and could not be moved, this meant morning was spent in the shade!
The beaches are some distance away - at least 25 mins walk. We found a couple of good resturants, Hugo's for tapas and drinks and Antonio's for more traditional food.
Very relaxing and well run. No issues. Have read some reviews saying that there is an issue with restaurants, taht is not enough of them. We stayed for 10 days and ate ina different restaurant every night ... none more than a 10 minute walk away. Enjoyed our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Vale de carros apartments. Yes they are not in the heart of Albufeira but we knew this before we went & what we wanted was a relaxing holiday with a nice apartment & pool with some where to eat.
We got exactly that & more the staff are more than happy to help with any queries people have, the handy man who looks after the grounds & the apartment works very hard & is also a very nice person who even with his limited english even helped me to win a game of pool.
The food & drinks at the bar are very reasonable & all the food we ate there was lovely.
There was entertainment some evenings & yes it may be cheesy but it was a good way to get chatting to other holiday makers & we met some great people.
There are a few restaurants & bars in the area & we ate at a couple one lagostera we had some good & bad meals but was nice overall, one i can recommend is Tanias bar which is up past the supermarket carry on walking & it is on the left hand side of the street.
You MUST go to is Ambrosia Nectar in Olhos de agua town it is the best.
friendly staff helpfull
falesia
The apartment was very pleasant, airy - we got a studio, for 2 people for a week. The room was a good size for 2.
The balcony was huge and and bathroom too.
The kitchen was well equipped, we managed to cook gorgeous meals.
The pool was very clean, the adjacent areas too.
Overall in good condition and cleaned at regular intervals. We had a fantastic, relaxing time.
Great stay, would definitely return and/or recommend.
I would recommend hiring a car. It a a long-ish walk to the closest beach, but the secluded location is worth it. It is very quiet. Try the Rocha Baixinha beach, the next one from Falesias, it is lovely!

excellent value for money, quiet resort but enough choice of restaurants to eat in. Reliable bus service to Albufeira.
We booked these apartments as a late deal for 5 nights over Easter. We got an amazing deal but would have honestly paid double as felt the whole complex was worth the money. We had a studio (one bedroom aparts. down below, studios above) it was more than adequate, 2 beds which doubled as seating during day, small kitchenette, table and 3 chairs, large bathroom and massive furnished balcony.
The bar was well stocked (cheap!) and offered entertainment on most nights, the people were very friendly. 2 x pools and plenty of sunbeds - there is a sign saying reserving beds is not allowed! Bars, restaurants & Supermarket all in walking distance and plenty of choice. Would definately return!
The beach at Olhos D'Aqua is better than the Falesia beach. A bit further to walk but manageable in 30-40 leisurely minutes. Plus there are loads of restaurants and bars nearby - whereas there is only one beach cafe at Falesia Beach!
The studio apartment was well equipped, clean and had a large bathroom and spacious balcony. Quite near to reasonable restaurants and supermarkets. Long walk to beaches, but there was a courtesy bus to one beach. We enjoyed good weather and felt this place was good for older people who liked walking. About 6 kilometers to nearest large town, but bus service seemed OK.
We really enjoyed our holiday, the apartments were fine, not luxurious but adequate in every way. The resort of Olhos de Agua is quite isolated with not much nearby, just a couple of shops and three or four restaurants (luckily the food was preety good in the ones we tried) but if you want to go anywhere else, such as old town or any of the markets, its a long taxi ride (or even longer bus ride) and very expensive with the horrendous Euro. The neareat beach is also quite a trek, though the hotel laid on a free ride twice a day. As stated You are preety isolated in the hotel, which for my husband and I and 2 kids wasn't a big problem, but it might be to other's. Having said all that, the sun shone every day, the hotel and way it is set out is perfect for kids and I had more peace on this holiday than I've ever had before as the children were amused playing in the pool, playing football (there's a tennis court too) and getting on with the other children who were staying there. The general concensus of the other people I spoke to at the hotel was that they'd also had a great holiday....I'd definetly recommend the hotel but with slight worries as to what we would do if the weather wasn't so great!
Fantatic beach, quite a walk though.
All good thanks
Self catering but shops nearby.
This hotel is in the middle of nowhere. The courtesy bus takes you to the beach daily which is just a beach, no shops, just one bar. The hotel itself could definately do with updating inside the apartments, however the outside looks quite modern. It is quite a walk to the apartments from reception and difficult to see the numbers in the dark so we were looking for ours for some time. There are two Portuguese bars in the same road, one is very expensive, the other just a simple bar. Further along and about a 15min walk there is a supermarket aimed at tourists with tourists prices, and a few more bars, again quite pricey. Much better off staying either in the old town or near the strip with its plenty supply of shops and bars, in fact the old town has plenty of reasonably priced bars. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, it's dated, not cleaned as you'd expect and the rooms are very small compared to other hotels. However, we found the staff friendly and helpful, and the pools very good.
Go to the old town for bars.
The hotel is ideal for our requirements.
However, Travel Replublic did not pass on our special requests resulting in a less enjoyable holiday.
Pleasant but need transport if you wish to explore area.
Local restaurants good with many locals patronising them (always a good sign),but you should be prepared to go native on excellent local cuisine.
Albufiera a bit like Blackpool with sun but if visit very early good shops for gifts etc.
