Holidays to Costa del Silencio
This was one of the first resorts on the island of Tenerife to be developed for tourism in the 1960s. Contrary to its name, Costa del Silencio is a buzzy, popular resort, with lots of facilities, holiday apartments, hotels and swimming pools. It’s not an especially beachy resort, but there are a few sandy bays nearby. And you won’t be stuck for places to party the night away.
Within walking distance is the old fishing village of Las Galletas, which has its own sand and shingle beach.
This sandy beach is 20 minutes west along the coast and has a children’s play area and lots of facilities.

Many archaeological delights await here, including Gauche mummies and interesting ancient pottery.
