Holidays to Villaverde
A small inland rural village on the Canary Island of Fuerteventura, Villaverde is away from the hustle and bustle of the busier resorts but it’s within easy traveling distance if you de feel like ramping up the fun factor. Fuerteventura itself is one of the quieter islands and was developed as a tourist resort later than the rest. Because of its elevated position, you can see its more action packed sister, Lanzarote, just a few kilometres away.
Corralejo Playa Grande
On the north east tip, with views out to the tropical island of Lobos, this beach is about 10 minutes away by car.
A smaller beach near Corralejo, this white sand paradise is quieter than the neighbouring Playa Grande.
Museum of Traditional Fishing
Right on the harbour, this celebration of all things nautical is a permanent reminder of Benidorm's maritime successes.
Casa Museo de Benidorm
This stunning lighthouse is perched atop a cliff overlooking the ocean. It's worth the drive to get there.
Oasis Park Fuerteventura
Reptiles, sea lions and birds of prey are the main stars of the park and visitors can explore the botanical garden.
Corralejo is perfect if you fancy trying your hand at a mix of watersports activities.
Taste local goat's cheese
The rugged landscape is goat heaven and they are farmed all over the island, producing a white, zesty cheese.
There are 2 main sauces – mojo picón and mojo verde. The first packs and spicy punch, the latter a hint of herbs.
Lovely outdoor space serving good food and drinks. There’s also live entertainment and music.
Good for a party night out, with music and a dance floor. There’s karaoke too for the exhibitionists among you!
