The hotel was very clean and tidy with modern fixtures and fittings. The staff were very friendly, helpful and able to give advice on local restaurants and transport links. Breakfast was very comprehensive, with a good range of pastries, cold meat, cheese and drinks. There was also a hot option of sausage and eggs. The only negatives that we found is that if you do not have a car, it is quite a long walk to the reception from the local bus stop. Also the resaurant was not operating during our stay, meaning that we were not able to eat within the hotel in the evenings. The room would have benifited form having a small fride installed to keep cold drinks within the room, however there was a vending machine in reception selling cold water and drinks.

It was a good hotel for the price we paid and in fairness, we knew that we were not in the centre of Bergamo. However I am a little disappointed at how the hotel advertises that it isn't far to the centre via bus and that they provide a shuttle service for free- it is true that they provide a shuttle car but only at 9am or 10am to take you there and then you have to make your own way back. Also I was disappointed that the staff were not too helpful when asking them what we could do/see/where we could eat etc.
