We were booked in for one night only. When we arrived reception area was quite busy with two reception staff. The hotel on first impression looked okay from the outside but was quite basic on entering reception area. A wedding was due to take place there that day so reception area was understandably quite busy. We then attended our relative's wedding 10 minutes later and did not return to the hotel until the early hours of the morning. When we arrived back there outside the hotel appeared very busy with people coming and going. On rebooking in we were given a key and advised of the location of our room which was on the first floor. We then entered the lift and there was some form of spillage on the floor which was by this time quite sticky. We got to our room and found the door was already open. When we entered the room the window was also open. The room itself was very basic but clean although the pillows were really hard. In the morning we went down to breakfast which was served from 8.30am-11.00am. There was quite a choice ranging from a fully cooked breakfast, continental breakfast ie. coissants, cereals, fresh orange, toast and tea and coffee. The breakfast area was quite small as there was a queue when we were leaving. All in all it was an okay hotel, but if I was really honest I would ask not to be put in the same room if I did decide to stay there again as I found it quite spooky that the door was already open when we arrived at our room in the hotel.
