B+B Rooms available, but we were offered the 2-storey cottage, which was absolutely superb. Good sized kitchen, nice lounge area with double sofa bed. Patio doors leading to driveway and superb view of open countryside. Upstairs leads to a lovely double bedroom and a good sized bathroom, with toilet and bath/shower. Tina (the owner) is such a lovely lady. Very welcoming. Had a good chat with her over breakfast - which is all cooked fresh for you - that's if you want a full English. If not, there is a choice of fresh fruit, cereals, yoghurts, boiled/poached eggs, porridge, beans on toast or scrambled eggs. Was recommended to eat at the Royal Oak pub down the road, but after perusing the menu, we were not impressed. Drove down to "The Stepping Stones" (Marston pub) which was superb. Excellent choice of meals. If you stay here you will love it. We used it as an overnight stay whilst visiting Alton Towers, which is approximately 11 miles away. Takes about 20 minutes in car, due to the country style roads.
