Conveniently placed for central London and Underground. Expensive compared to a similar hotel stayed at 18 months ago. Personel friendly and helpful. Decor shabby. Shower room dirty - soap and toothbrush left from previous occupants. Plenty of towels, changed daily. Breakfast room too small for the number of guests. Shortage of china and cutlery.

A bit cramped (a rather narrow building), but OK if all you need is somewhere to sleep in London for a couple of nights. Breakfast room small, with minimal customer service (mix your own instant coffee). Not for those who have difficulty with stairs.

I have just come back from a one night stay in your Guildford Hotel in Russell Square in London, although the room was adequate it did smell terribly of smoke which I did find very unwelcoming, the staff did not speak very good english so we did have a few problems understanding each other, but got there in the end.
I do think the hotel could do with updating, I am aware that I did not pay a fortune for the room I do think it could do with being a bit more up to date.
