This hotel is in the old town with a vista onto the Rhine. Riverboats leave from the Dusseldorfer landing stage right outside. The cathedral and central station are less than 10 minutes leisurely walk. The area is lively in the evenings and weekends with scores of bars and restaurants in the surrounding area. This is both an advantage and a disadvantage - PROS - - Central location. - Rooms/bathrooms are clean. - Beds are comfortable. - A good buffet breakfast is included in the price. - Guests receive 2 10% off vouchers for other meals at the restaurant/bar. CONS - - The area is VERY noisy at night. Rooms at the back of the hotel look out onto one of the narrow streets of the old town, with lots of shouting/singing until the early hours. - Rooms are small. - Rooms are reached by stairs - there is no lift. This hotel is most suitable for young people visiting for a party/stag/hen weekend. It would not suit older people, anybody with a disability or those looking for a quiet romantic weekend.
