We travel as often as we can and in order to do that, we travel on a budget. Nobel is a budget-priced hotel and if you remember that, you won't go wrong. There are dormitory-style rooms for those that want them but we had a private, double-room with private en-suite and a balcony. There is a lovely roof terrace where you can watch the sun go down (and/or come up? as well as an excellent view over the Bosphorus and the Blue Mosque) but best of all are the staff. All of them looked after us brilliantly, spoke excellent english and really helped out when our transfer didn't show up for the return journey to the airport (imagine how stressful that is), sorting us out with a taxi and managing all the phone conversations required. We had breakfast each morning in the cafe next door, which was fresh and plentiful (remember you're not in a 5-star hotel!). We also had one evening meal in the Sofa Cafe, which was excellent, though there lots of excellently priced restaurants within a few minutes walk. We will definitely return to Istanbul and we will definitely return to Nobel Hostel Guesthouse! Not a 5-star hotel, but in terms of value for money and location, definitely a five-star experience!
