The staff were really friendly, this hotel was located on the seafront and was ideally located to shops, bars and local amenities. I did not eat here, but after speaking to other guests who were staying here at the same time as me they recommended the food. There was a nice cosy lounge downstairs where you could enjoy a drink from the small bar at the hotel. On arrival in the room there were some homemade cakes/biscuits and a chocolate on the bed, which added a really nice touch after a long journey. There was provision for tea/coffee making in the room (with tea/coffee provided). The beds were comfy. They only downside to this hotel was that it was damp in my bedroom and you could see the black mould around the walls by the window (which I would advise the staff used bleach every now and again to get rid of the mould), that said it is an old building so black mould is not uncommon in such buildings. However, other than this small complaint I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Douglas. In my opinion it is very good value for money.
