Well, where to start! I've travelled a lot, stayed in every form of accommodation and even roughed it, and have used Travel Republic before and found no problems, but I always look at VALUE for money. And at £200 for four nights, this was not value. (£190 + 'cleaning' bill!) Upon leaning about the 'key location issues,' I requested a transfer/cancellation but this was at first rejected, then later allowed - but then there was nowhere else to stay, so c'est la vie. Firstly I had to pay another 10 Euros for the taxi driver to take me to the office that held the key - Interhome. Without his help, I would never have found the office, and he translated information for me - thanks go to Suntransfers! (I would advise only fluent French speakers choose this - because any problems you must phone Interhome - as there is no 'reception' as in normal hotels/appartments). The appartment is in a residential block, with no a/c - and disco noise until 2am and drunken youngsters jumping into the pool until 5am. Facilities were as stated - basic. I couldn't use the pool because Interhome had no 'entry wrist bands' and said that all I needed to do was explain to the pool guy, so I just didn't bother- my French isn't that great! For once, I decided not to hire a car - lucky because there's nowhere to park! But, a great BIKE-HIRE up the street allowed me to rent a bike at 30 euros for the four days. But, the final day was wasted due to there being nothing to do - all right if you like looking at boats in the marina. There wasn't time to go anywhere and I had to vacate early - then drop the key back to the other side of town. Hot and bothered before the flight!
