When we arrived the name was different for the hotel. The standard-- nothing near 4 star! The sand on the stretch of beach is black. We booked for a hotel room but we were given a chalet with a kitchenette. The shower allows water to splash every time with water going to the bedroom. In one week we had two lots of 100 school children ( approx.) staying in the hotel- more like a scout camp Upon arrival we were asked to pay 5 euros per night ,per person for using the facilities. Obligatory whether you use it or not !! The facility consisted of an outdoor swimming pool ; and one tennis court to be shared with all residents including 100 school children. The second tennis court has been turned into a football pitch! Never seen in a 4 star! The telephone in the room has been ripped off the wall including all its connections. The safe could not be used and it was set in damaged cupboard!!! The children bedroom was very small for two beds! The television had a cable missing - which took two days and 5 complaints to repairs - meaning finding a cable . We had to ask for a remote control for the TV set and then one for the airconditioner. Basically no one seemed to have surveyed the room before allocating it or them - as other residents shared their predicaments! The sand on the beach looks to be contaminated with ashes - your feet get all dirty- hence the change of name to la plage noir- the black beach. Overall it is profoundly disappointing because one expect a 4 star hotel. The standard is not dissimilar to a guests house.
