The building is a lovely art deco style. You would never know it was a Bed and Breakfast. Close to the Vatican City. Very clean, very friendly staff. Would not hesitate to visit again.

Had a great stay at Mikale Rooms, Very clean Very modern & lovely people. Close to Vatican city 10 minute walk. lots of lovely restuarants close by and Gelato shops. The Mikale rooms is tucked away in an appartment block which is very secure and the neighbours were very friendly, it's on a quiet road so you may need help finding it but Mikale organised a taxi to pick us up from the airport (37euro) and take us straight there. Mikale and his staff couldn't be more helpful.

Just got back lovely place close to Vatican, very clean and staff nice. Very cramped in small hall way where breakfast is located, breakfast is cakes etc not hot food. You can ask for coffee and toast but I really felt like i was inconveniencing the guy who runs the place. We were only there to sleep and shower so didn't spend any time in accommodation really. You get what you pay for and nothing more, I wouldn't go back to Rome so therefore no need to stay anywhere again. Overall very cheap pleasant and worth the money paid.

C'est la Vie is everything we hoped it would be and more. Amalia, the owner, couldn't have been more helpfully. She has made this business into a lovely place to stay and keeps it spotless. Everything you could want is provided.

Excellent stay at the Cest la Vie Rooms.
Located about a 10 minute walk from the Vatican and Metro stop Ottaviano on Line A, so a good location.
The actual rooms are on the first floor in what appears to be a small old office block, so you have to buzz the door on arrival to be let in (you get your own key on checkin so can come & go), we arrived on an early flight, so we emailed in advance so our room was ready on arrival, so I would advise familiarising yourself with the area on google street maps etc to avoid confusion, there is no big sign saying 'Cest la Vie' like you would have on a normal hotel.
The rooms are a home from home, it very much feels like you are staying in a private apartment. We stayed in the Colloseo room, which is for couples, a very good size for a city centre hotel, nicely decorated and very clean, comfortable double bed, air con and good wardrobe/cupboard space for a city break. The bathrooms were very nice, no bath but an excellent shower with hair dyer.
There is a shared kitchen area with plenty of facilities and juices/breads/ham/cheese etc for a self service breakfast, which is excellent, so you can have as much as you like and save yourself the cost of a breakfast in a café etc, we were having breakfast then going to the sites all day and eating later in the afternoon.
The breakfast table area is good, but is at the main hall to the bedroom doors, everyone was very quiet when we stayed, but if you had noisy neighbours coming in late worse for wear or making allot of noise getting up early, I can imagine that could be a problem.
Out hosts arranged a taxi return to the airport after we emailed them, which was a big help as traversing the walk to the metro, the metro trip, then a coach from Termini station to the airport with luggage would have been a pain for our early return flight, we got a really nice executive Mercedes taxi pre-arranged for $40, so worth considering and booking through them for an agreed price, so you do not have a 'tourist trip' taxi to the airport for twice the cost!!!
Great value stay, When next in Rome we will stay at Cest la Vie again !
