Although the hotel is in a "quiet" location, it depends where you room is. If you get a room facing on to the street, it is actually quite noisy with cars, motorscooters and people having parties etc, right under/outside your window. No air con, so stuffy in summer and you have to open the window to keep vaguely cool. Don't go there in summer if you can't sleep in high temperatures or with steet noise: must be much better in winter. Location is good for central Bordeaux starting from the Hotel de Ville area. Tram stop nearby. You can see all of Bordeaux by using the 3 main tram lines and a 5/10 trip ticket available at tabacs everywhere. On the good side, reception very friendly and helpful. Self-catering facilities very useful if you are watching expenses. Furnishings and beds very reasonable for 2* category. What this hotel needs to do is to instal air con ASAP.
