Flying to Palma (Majorca)

Palma, capital city of the Balearics, is both elegant and cosmoplitan. An important commercial port as well a thriving holiday resort, this vibrant and bustling city has a great deal to offer the visitor. It has the best choice of hotels, restaurants and entertainment on the island, and Palma’s shopping facilities are first-class. The magnificent Bellver Castle, which towers over the city, and the wonderful 13th century Gothic cathedral known as ‘La Seu’, demand to be explored by anyone with an interest in the island’s long history.

Those for whom shopping is an essential element in their holiday plans, will find everything they might wish for in Parma’s sophisticated shops, where superb leather handicrafts, fine needlework, particularly embroidered tablecloths and napkins, and majorcan pearl jewellery, number amongst the desirable goods to be found here.

Palma is not short of a good nightlife either, and those with the desire to party and enjoy all-night fun will find that they are well catered for in the many bars and dancing clubs by the sea front.

For those intrested in swimming in the sea the best public beaches can be found not too far away at Playa Nova or lovely Ca’n Pastilla to the east of the city. Palma is definitely a great destination for anyone looking for a superb modern city with all the facilities you might ask for, but one that still very much retains its character and cultural identity.

Can Moragues Hotel

Arta
 4 Star Hotel

Amazing hotel! Welcoming and helpful couple who run it and work very hard always with a smile. Although I have said near to beach it is a short drive away and the restaurants are a short walk away in the town, but Arta is a brilliant spot on the island for avoiding all the usual holiday makers.

 2 Star Rural Hotel

The estate’s privileged location close to the sea and the most beautiful unspoilt beaches in the Levant area as well as four top-class golf courses enable guests to enjoy a unforgettable stay. Set amidst emblematic landscapes stands the Son Cardaix Green Tourism hotel, situated on the Arta peninsula in north-eastern Mallorca, an area which has not suffered the pressure of urban development of the rest of the island. Although the estate dates from the fifteenth century, the house has been painstakingly restored without losing its spirit and Mallorcan character that is both rustic and elegant, offering a combination of technology, ease, comfort and luxury. Elegance and sobriety describe our new spacious Junior Suites, which are all fitted with a bathroom, TV, telephone and central heating. Eight of them also have a sitting room with fireplace and four have a terrace. Each room has been decorated in an individual style with antique furniture, but with today’s needs and comforts in mind.
