A pirate’s life for me

When looking for a family hotel one of the most important questions asked is, will there be enough entertainment for the kids? Of course unlike us the idea of lounging around all day in the sun isn’t appealing to the younger ones, so it’s essential that there is something for them also.

If this is the case for you then you really should check out the Pirates Village in Santa Ponsa in Majorca. The hotel just over 2 years old and is already making a big impression on family holiday makers.

Pirates Village

If the name hasn’t given it away, this is a pirate theme hotel which offers a unique and very exciting experience. The entire hotel is decorated to the pirate’s theme, from the new pool with a fortress, galleons and lighthouse, a themed restaurant, bars and pirate related entertainment. Speaking of entertainment, there is plenty of it and it’s just not for the kids too. There are day time activities for all ages, which include an interactive treasure hunt and a pirate’s takeover, which involves defending your village from pirates. There are also professional actors who roam the hotel entertaining the guests and children. The evening also has a host of entertainment, including a magic show and weekly pirates BBQ. Of course for the kids there is a mini club which is run every day from 10.30am to 7pm.

Should you want to escape being a pirate, the Pirates Village is situated in the heart of the Santa Ponsa, close to the beach, restaurants and shops. For the more adventurous there is the Jungle Parc close by, which is an outdoor adventure park where you have to climb from tree to tree via zip wires and ladders. If you want to travel to the other side of the island in Magaluf you can visit the Western water park and the Katmandu theme park.

The hotel has a choice of self catering or all inclusive board basis. The all inclusive option includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner and includes snacks all day. The hotel prides itself on offering branded alcohol as opposed to the traditional local drinks that most all inclusive packages cover.

This hotel is particularly well suited for families and the themed entertainment and setting will in no doubt impress children, but I expect it’ll be just as entertaining for the adults.

  • Hi Diane,
Thanks for your message, unfortunately as the hotel is still being built there aren’t any photos that I can share with you. The images above are computer generated pictures of what the finished hotel should look like. You can search for prices and availability here if you would like? http://bit.ly/Xhaz25.
