Often when you pick a hotel you’re given a choice of what type of view you want with your room, and of course the more picturesque the view, the more expensive the room. Room views are very important to many of us and so I’ve searched high and dry to find the most luxurious, breathtaking and stunning hotel room views from around the world.
Jade Mountain, Saint Lucia
The 5 star Jade Mountain is a luxurious resort located on the breathtaking coast of Soufriere. The rooms only have 3 walls with an open space instead of a 4th wall, which looks out to a mountain and sea backdrop. There are also rooms available that offer their own infinity pool balcony (such as above). The hotel is designed for pure relaxation and they even ask that all phones are on silent in public areas to maintain the peace. I’m not sure that this photo even does the view justice but as you can see it’s pretty heavenly!
Capella Ixtapa Resort and Spa, Mexico
Another hotel which has dreamy views of the coast, the Capella Ixtapa Resort and Spa is set in the resort of Ixtapa. The hotel faces the pacific ocean giving views of the crystal clear ocean, which is particularly stunning during sunset. And why not enjoy this view in style? All hotel rooms have their own huge balcony with infinity pool looking over the ocean, perfect for a glass of bubbly watching the sun go down (well that’s how I imagine it!).
Atlantis The Palm Hotel, Dubai
This hotel is one of a kind and the ultimate in luxury. For a view like no other the Neptune and Poseidon suites at the hotel are actually underwater with huge floor to ceiling windows that open out to the tropical aquarium which has over 65,000 marine inhabitants. Both the bedroom and bathroom of the suites have views of the aquarium. The room also comes with a 24/7 private butler. Of course this luxury does come at a price but if you can afford it, it’s worth it!
Banyan Tree Al Wadi, United Arab Emirates
Also within the United Arab Emirates, this hotel offers fantastic views of a nature reserve in the area of Ras Al Khaimah. The hotel is set in an isolated desert which gives all the rooms at the hotel panoramic views of clear, unspoilt desert. It’s ideal if you’re just looking for peace and quiet in isolated surroundings. All rooms at the Banyan Tree Al Wadi have private pools but I’d have to say the view from the balcony of the Al Khaimah Tented Pool villa is just that little bit more breath taking.
Rome Cavalieri, Rome
This time it’s a city view that I’ve picked, and what better city to see than Rome? The Rome Cavalieri overlooks the city, which looks especially beautiful illuminated at night. The Penthouse Suite in the hotel is probably one of the more impressive room views which benefits from a huge roof garden overlooking St Peter’s Dome (complete with Jacuzzi of course).
Have you stayed anywhere with breathtaking views?
