Amy’s Candy Bar, Chicago

Set up by pastry chef Amy Hansen, Amy’s Candy Bar is an adorable store selling retro candy as well as handmade chocolate bars.

Stock up on gummy bears in every colour of the rainbow or treat yourself to themed candy baskets, such as the ‘20s and 30s blast from the past’ bundle which evokes flavours of the Jazz Age. For an extra scoop of indulgence, try some of Amy’s homemade ice cream; the ‘blue moon’ flavour tastes like the sweet milk you’d find at the bottom of your cereal.
