It’s that time of the week again! Friday means not only the beginning of the weekend; it also means the latest instalment of Friday Five. This week I’ve decided to focus on themed hotel rooms. If you sometimes find the standard hotel décor a bit dull, then perhaps you should take a look at my Friday Five below, suitable for kids and big kids!
Universal’s Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Orlando, USA
If you want to extend the fun of Universal to your hotel then this is the place to stay. As I’m sure you’ve gathered from the above image the hotel has Despicable Me suites, complete with Minion décor. I’d like to suggest that this room can also be enjoyed by adults too, but the bed size does limit options here. If you have kids though, I’m sure they’ll love this fun and creative room.
The Yeatman Hotel, Porto, Portugal
Now this is a themed room that I’m sure you can appreciate! The Yeatman Hotel is a 5 star luxury wine spa hotel, a theme which they continue in their suites. This room is called the 008 Taylor’s suite, which is dedicated to the 300 year old port producer. The bed is the main feature of the room, which has been set in a huge oak barrel and raised off the ground so you have to use steps to get in it.
V8 Hotel Im Meilenwerk Stuttgart, Germany
This is any car enthusiasts dream hotel. The hotel is set in a former airport site and hosts a collection of vintage and classic cars. All of the rooms have different themes, with a classic car as a bed. Who said car beds were for kids, eh?
Seven Hotel, Paris
What could be more swish than a James Bond room? The Seven Hotel is a unique and cool 4 star hotel in the French capital. The suite has everything that you’d expect Mr Bond to enjoy, with an ‘endless mirror’, 160cm large screen, golden toilets and a plush lounge corner. If you’ve ever fancied living the lifestyle of 007 then this is the closest you’re going to get.
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA
This is another Florida hotel that is bound to excite the kids. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is located close to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot and has some amazing family suites (so you get to enjoy the fun too!). There are 4 themed suites, which are decorated in the style of The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Cars and Finding Nemo. The photo I’ve chosen to share is the Finding Nemo suite, which sleeps up to 6 adults.
