Last Minute Holidays to the Balearics

If you’re looking for a chaser to follow your summer holiday this year, may we suggest an escape to the Balearics?

Comprised of Majorca, Menorca, Ibiza and Formentera, each island offers all year round sunshine, making it a great choice for an autumn holiday. Temperatures during September and October are still a comfortable level, plus resorts are quieter and therefore less expensive.

Late stays in Majorca

Majorca needs no introduction. It’s a fun-filled and welcoming island that caters for all sorts of holidaymakers. The capital of Palma may be small, but it’s bursting with life, from its fantastic architecture – Palma Castle is a must see – to its authentic tapas restaurants.

If you’re after the beach, Cala d’Or is a very popular town which is right by the beach and offers a relaxed and friendly base for your Majorca holiday. Cap de Forementor is another great choice if you value intimacy, and in the autumn months it will be even more relaxed.

Late stays in Menorca

Menorca is a beautiful, more peaceful Balearic island that boasts incredible natural surroundings; it’s ideal for those looking for a relaxing getaway with plenty of sea and sunshine.

For those after an authentic Spanish retreat, look no further than the seaside town of Es Castell. The town has retained its traditional charm with beautifully rugged and colourful buildings surrounding the quaint harbour. Life is laid back here, so the nightlife is rather casual and low key – great if all you’re looking to do is relax.

Late stays in Ibiza

Whilst San Antonio and Playa den Bossa are winding down with many of the clubs closing for the season, the rest of the island is still very much open for business. Port des Torrent is on the west coast of the island and is neighbours with San Antonio, but we can assure you it’s very different. The port is a tranquil bay which offers fantastic views and beaches with plenty of space.

Weather in Ibiza will remain warm in September and October and you’ll find the resort is a lot emptier than in peak season, making it perfect for a late getaway to sneak in that last bit of sun.
