Going on holiday with friends is a wonderful experience packed with laughter and good company – and as long as you have some degree of organisation, they really are a fantastic way to spend quality time together. If you’re up for a beach break with your mates that doesn’t cost too much then Benidorm and Salou are ideal. Of course, Benidorm needs no introduction; it’s a fun, relaxed and welcoming beach resort with plenty to do. One of the most famous hotels in the resort is the Sol Pelicanos. The resort has fantastic beaches, great choice of nightlife as well as a bit of traditional Spain in the Old Town.
Salou is another brilliant beach resort with many award winning blue flag beaches. There’s plenty going on in the evenings to keep you entertained. If you fancied a nice evening meal and a few drinks, there are many restaurants and bars to take your pick from. Nearby you’ll also find PortAventura, a theme park packed with roller coasters and family friendly rides which are suitable for all ages. Accommodation in Salou is very affordable and hotels such as the H10 Salou Princess provide a comfortable base for your stay.
If you fancy exploring a city then you can’t go wrong with Amsterdam and Barcelona. Both cities are easy to travel to and won’t break the bank while you’re there. You can travel to both of these cities at any time of the year, making them ideal for group holidays. Amsterdam is very easy on the eye with its picturesque canals and beautiful buildings. It also happens to be a lot of fun and there are plenty of restaurants and bars to keep everyone entertained. Amsterdam has a huge choice of accommodation from hostels to 5 star penthouses. If you’re looking for something a bit more unique, the Amstel Botel (a boat hotel!) is brilliant and affordable.
Barcelona takes some beating with its stunning Gaudi architecture, buzzing winding streets and its own beach. The tapas in the Gothic quarter is a must try and you’ll be surprised at how affordable your evenings can be. The streets of Barcelona are buzzing and you’ll find the city is intoxicating. There are many hotels to choose from in the city; if you are visiting in the summer months then you might want a hotel with a pool, the Expo Hotel Barcelona is great option complete with rooftop pool.
If you really want to go big then it has to Las Vegas or Bangkok. We all know Vegas is about the huge hotels, casinos, shows and non-stop parties. Vegas is a trip of a lifetime, so it’s worth putting in a lot of planning for your group holiday. In terms of hotels it really does depend on your budget but one of the most famous has to be the Bellagio.
Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is bustling. There are many places to head to in the city but a trip down the Khao San Road is a must. This is a popular backpacking street which is filled with bars, music and street food. You’ll also find lots of high quality 5 star hotels at an affordable price in the city, many of which have their own rooftop bars. Whether it’s part of your Thailand trip or you’re just visiting the city on its own, you’ll find Bangkok is an exciting and unforgettable city for your group holiday.
If you are after non-stop partying then you can’t go wrong with Magaluf and Ibiza. Magaluf is an affordable option for groups, with accommodation, flights, food and drink all reasonably priced. There is a range of accommodation to suit your group’s needs, such as the BH Mallorca, or if you want something upmarket you can stay in boutique hotels such as Me Mallorca. Magaluf has a huge range of bars and clubs that have earned its party reputation and you’ll find plenty of places to spend your evenings.
If you love your music and big nights out then Ibiza could be the one for you and your friends. It’s famous for its nightlife for a reason, and you’ll find the clubs really are spectacular. Whilst the flights and accommodation are usually affordable you’ll find the clubs and drinks in Ibiza do come with a price tag. Of course, if you want that big clubbing experience it’s totally worth it – just make sure you plan which clubs you want to go to.
