About Gambia

The Gambia has become known as ‘the smiling coast’ for the friendliness of its locals and the hospitality enjoyed by visitors, all of which is enjoyed in picturesque surroundings.

Found on the western coast of Africa, the country boasts a strip of coastline looking out on the North Atlantic Ocean where you can observe the locals fishing for food to sell at market. Found across The Gambia, these stalls supply fresh fruit and vegetables to the various restaurants which include relaxed beachside bars and more formal gourmet venues.

The warm climate is perfect for taking in all of the country’s wildlife, and you can enjoy a stroll through Bijilo Forest Park, Abuko Nature Reserve or visit the popular Kachikally Crocodile Pool. More the more energetic you can take advantage of the watersports on offer, including jet skiing, parasailing and windsurfing from the Sportfishing Centre.
