Amsterdam is renowned for its nightlife. The two main districts that are home to the numerous bars and clubs are Leidseplein and the Rembrandtplein. The city is also very pretty and a particularly picturesque time to visit is during Keukenhof Tulip and flower festival in March-May. The city also boasts many great restaurants serving a variety of cuisines.
The best way to get around the capital city of the Netherlands, is to hire a city bike where you can visit the famous Red Light District on the numerous bike tracks and cycle lanes. For some history, don’t forget to stop off at the Anne Frank Museum in the Jewish Quarter. When you get tired of cycling, take a boat trip along the canal and appreciate this beautiful city from the water.
