This popular holiday destination ticks all the right boxes for a great beach holiday. Covered in over 300 volcanic cones, there are some unusual sights on the island such as the black lava field, as well as some wonderful scenery. The northern half of the island is not frequented by tourists as much as the south and boasts some beautiful old architecture, as well as modern works by the island’s famed architect Cesar Manrique. In the south of the island, make sure you take a tour around the volcanic slopes of Timanfaya National Park.
If you just want to kick back and relax on the beach, Lanzarote offers some beautiful coves like Papagayo Beach, where dreamy turquoise waters meet white sand.
