Elysium Hotel

Paphos, Cyprus

5 Star Hotel

The Elysium is a five star deluxe hotel with a world-class Spa, which offers an entirely unique experience to leisure and business visitors to Cyprus.

Situated next to the ancient Tombs of the Kings, the Elysium is 'A SANCTUARY FOR THE BODY AND SOUL'. The hotel offers a harmonious blend of luxury, tranquillity and seclusion; colonnades, mosaics, waterfalls and pools form an elegance echoed by a discreet and gracious welcome. Journey through time and discover hidden delights and timeless treasures.

The Elysium enjoys uninterrupted views of the Mediterranean Sea and has been sensitively designed in a palatial style primarily influenced by the Byzantine era. The cultural references of its architecture evoke the rich history of Cyprus and combine elements from Greek, Roman, Medieval and Venetian times. A blend of local stone, marble and timber, warm muted colours and decorative features such as mosaics, arches and columns reflect the aims of the designers to create a sense of place and tradition, where guests can enjoy a relaxing and stimulating holiday in a peaceful and secluded environment.

The Elysium is situated on the beach, in the historical heartland of the ancient city of Paphos, next to the archaeological site of the Tombs of the Kings. The hotel is only 10 minutes away from the picturesque harbour of Paphos, 25 minutes from Paphos centre, and 90 minutes from Larnaca international airport.

A variety of accommodation is offered ranging from Deluxe Bedrooms with balconies to Cyprian Maisonettes, Family Suites,  Royal Luxury Studios and  Royal Garden Villas with private pools making the resort ideal for families and couples of all ages. Rooms feature Wifi Internet connection and LCD-SAT-TV.

We had the most enjoyable stay at the Elysium, I cannot find anything to fault. The staff are wonderful, nothing is too much trouble. The kids club is run extremely well by Rachel a British Lady who entertains the children from 10am until 6pm. The pools are clean, the food is plentiful. The Al Carte dining should also not be missed. If you like 3 square meals a day I would recommend taking the full board option as some people we met did. We will be returning.
Top Tip: Take the full board option if you are big eaters.

A beautiful hotel with wonderful grounds comprising a cleverly designed pool area with plenty of space for loungers, gardens with lovely planting of palm trees, shrubs, flowers, and a beach area.
The overall design of the buildings, grounds and interior is amazing. The attention to detail and quality, and outstanding customer service (well trained, friendly & attentive staff) are astonishing.
The breakfasts & plentiful evening buffets meant our 1/2 board arrangement was more than enough for a whole day. The quality of the food was great.

The only downside is that immediately outside the hotel's grounds it is all a bit scruffy. Illness prevented much exploring beyond the Pafos harbour area - a very ordinary place - but we did see some archeology which needs more time to do it all justice.
Top Tip: Tomb of the Kings next to the hotel was interesting because of the excavated ruins but what had a very big impact were the range & beauty of the flowers, and the number of birds. It was like a wildlife haven.

The busses work well, easy to use.

The Elysium is a truly beautiful hotel but what made our holiday was the welcome we received and the friendliness off the staff. It makes such a difference to see genuine, smiling faces. We were treated like royalty! We hope to go back soon!
Top Tip: The Tomb of the Kings is next to the hotel and there is a lovely coastal walk at the back of the hotel which leads to Paphos Castle, The Harbour and The Archeological Site.
