  • Another wonderful stay at R.A.M. The food and drinks were even better than my last trip and we enjoyed the sea and the various pools each day. It was great to relax and not worry about the cooking and the washing up. Will definitely return another year.

All worked so hard to make are stay enjoyable, will certainly be going back as soon as we can

Opened in 2004 and fully renovated in 2011, the 5* resort has a dream location on the golden sandy beach on the new hotel zone of Nabq Bay, facing coral reefs in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea and the shipwrecks of the nearby Straits of Tiran. The main building and the attached three-storey building are surrounded by resplendent gardens extending down to the beach. This elegant all inclusive resort is only 12 km from Sharm El Sheikh Airport and 20 km from the famous Naama Bay.

Top Tip: Ask for a red flag at reception so that people selling trips and beauty treatments do not bother you. If you want to reserve a sunbed with a towel, you will have to be up at 5am and even that might be too late!

Friendly and hardworking staff - beautiful grounds and lots to see and do without having to leave the resort. Improvements are being made all the time with a new beach bar and restaurant this year.

Snorkelling of the jetty is amazing, so many fish so close to the hotel!

Top Tip: Find a good boat trip if you're not a driver - its a great way tomseemthe amazing fish in the red sea without having to get your feet wet.

Excellent choice of food and tasty, pancakes and doughnuts in the afternoon were loved by all. Pools are all lovely and beach is nice. It's worth paying a little extra to have a room with a view as the promo rooms have ugly views. Entertainment in the evening isn't great. Very friendly staff!

Hotel was rated as a 5 star hotel however, I would not consider it to be a 5 star rating compared to an English or an American rated facility. At best 4 star. We had a number of issues with our accommodation with the AC Leaking on two separate occasions and had to be moved. Rooms are tired and need upgrading. AC in some of the dining areas not working making it unpleasant to eat in. (Sorry... My occupation in the UK is air conditioning and you tend to notice when it's not working correctly)
I will say that staff on site were excellent and were great with the children who made our stay very enjoyable.
