All the reviews are about the hotel itself and the staff. Let me tell you about the Sierra hotels private beach and fantastic reef for snorkelling.
This is truly an amazing place to see almost every variety of fish you can in the Red Sea. The beach is small and well run with showers, changing rooms, toilets and a snack bar. The food is basic but enough, there is a water fountain and non alcoholic drinks from behind the bar. Wine and beer are also served. These are all included in your A.I. package.
The beach is 15 minutes walk from the hotel through Soho Sqaure and the Savoy but there is a shuttle bus running all day every day. We chose to walk.
There are planty of sunbeds, towels and umbrellas and if you are lucky RAMADAN and ELSAYED will have your sunbead ready for you each day with a smile. A small tip is acceptable. (20 egyptian pounds).
The other staff, life gaurds, AMR in particular, were great at telling you the best places to go to see particular fish. They are very friendly and speak good English. Thanks to AMR we had the privilage of swimming with a Giant Moray Eel. We also had the amazing expierience of swimming alongside a Giant Manta Ray that came right up to the swimming area one afternoon. Spectacular. This reef really is the best snorkelling we have ever had, the coral is great and the variety of fish is amazing. We had a great time every day with new things discovered each time we got in the water.
Back to the hotel, we asked for, and got, a room in Block 3 - this is more peacful and near to the adult pool. It was my birthday and a cake was delivered too.
I would recommend eating in Soho square rather than the hotel buffett.
Room Tip: Block 3 is quiet and near to the adult pool

Our recent two week stay is the second time we have been to the Sierra in the last two years. We really like it , it is clean and all the staff are really friendly and helpful . The added bonus of Soho square on its door step with your all inclusive and hotel discounts giving you a wide range of restaurants and bars , bowling ice skating.
This hotel make a fantastic holiday base for all ages .
“ Top Tip: Soho square
