this is my second visit in 6 months and i wasn't disappointed. the accommodation is not ideal in that it is somewhat shabby and needs a make-over but for me - importantly - it is CLEAN. the food was good and the staff were GREAT. i felt that the staff makes it. they were all very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. i am a young at heart 70 - and my sister-in-law who came with me is a young at heart 76 year old - and we were made so welcome and so well looked after. regrettably, i cannot name everyone who was so good to us but if they read this review, they will know who they are!!

one negative view - i have a mobility problem (although not severe) - as does my sister-in-law - and elevator access from reception down to the dining rooms and accommodation would have been great!! saying that - i hope to go back again - perhaps in the not too distant future...............
Top Tip: island view resort is only a few minutes walk from soho square - this is where all the great shopping, pubs and restaurants are situated. soho square is very quiet during the day but really comes to life at night. somewhere you should really get to see.

There are two elements that make this hotel great; the location and the staff. This is my third visit here in the last 4 years and yet again I was not disappointed. OK so the rooms are starting to look a bit tired and the guests are predominantly Russian and Eastern European with only a handful of English, however this is still a great hotel.
Staff are warm and welcoming and can't do enough for you.
Choice of three pools (one lively, one quiet and one at the beach).
On the whole food is of a good standard with sufficient choice
Brilliantly located for Soho Square shopping, bars
Pool Bars only serve water by plastic cup, not by Bottle.
No free WIFI
Make use of the A La Carte Italian restaurant. Guests are allowed one visit per stay and the food is fantastic.
