“ A wonderful place, we stay at the Martinez almost every year - it's rare to find a heated pool in Spring in France. It splits into a shallow bit for kids and a deeper part for adults and swimmers. I find the staff there are wonderful - many have worked there loyally for years and years.9.4 Magnificent

The hotel has a great spread for breakfast - but do buy the Travel Republic offer with breakfast voucher included, because if you don't, it's VERY VERY expensive to eat anything there - Club Sandwich €32…hot chocolate €12?
SOoo, don't go there if paying silly money for things upsets you, as you really won't enjoy it and you'll spend the whole time being knocked off your feet by the prices - BUT, if you choose carefully, and you love being part of something glitzy and enjoy feeling special for a little moment in time, this hotel is the place to be.
Lovely Spa on the 7th Floor, evenings in the bar, live piano, nice place to chill.
Star attraction - The hotel's beach, 'Z Plage' - totally amazing, really very special. The food quality is not the point - it's the atmosphere - jazz, sunshine, cocktails (€22) or smoothies (€14) on the beach. The restaurant itself is also really comfortable and beautifully designed. Treat yourself to their Confucius salad, delicious and more affordable than other menu items. That said, the hamburger can easily be a one between two, they're enormous!
If you're lucky at this time of year, the weather can be really warm and sunny, so the Martinez makes a fabulous break.
Vesuvio Italian restaurant - best pizza you can buy as a take away around €15 a pizza. In the restaurant itself - amazingly good Italian food - pretty expensive if you go beyond the pizza, but really abundant portions and excellent quality. Calves liver or Filet Steak with real porcini is fabulous. You can't book - and you have to get there before 7:15pm or you won't get in until after 9:30pm…
Lebanese around the corner for wraps as a takeaway are a good choice when you're having a panic attack about whether you can afford to eat at all in Cannes!

“ Absolutely wonderful service!! All staff were extremely helpful and polite and couldn't have been more sociable!
“ Top Tip: Must go to Rendevous or Le Caveau 30 on Rue d'Antibes for there set menus! Daytime has tone Ling the croisette at New York!

“ Luxury hotel but expensive, however everything in Cannes is expensive so at least you get the quality and service at the Martinez
A short walk to Rue Rouaze which is the first left on the road besides the Martinez you will find a nice little supermarket Proxi which will save you money on your mini bar.
Park in the Croissete car park yourself a 10 min walk away for 17.60euro per day rather than the 40euro per day valet charge

The prices in the hotel are eyewateringly expensive. €9.80 for a small bottle of mineral water is expensive for any Western European hotel.
For "city view" read back yard with train line at the end. No air con in room and if you open the window the trains start at about 5am.
“ Top Tip: Vesuvio restaurant - about 100m along the Croisette to the right towards the centre of town - excellent food and (for Cannes) very reasonable prices.
