Superb hotel - it would be impossible to beat. We stayed at the end of May for 4 days and the heated pool is free to use up to 15 June which was an unexpected surprise. Towels are provided free together with sunbeds. Breakfast was included in our deal and is a must - very attentive waiters.
Top Tip: A meal at Vesuvio Restaurant 50 metres away on La Croisette should be experienced as the sun goes down.

A wonderful place, we stay at the Martinez almost every year - it's rare to find a heated pool in Spring in France. It splits into a shallow bit for kids and a deeper part for adults and swimmers. I find the staff there are wonderful - many have worked there loyally for years and years.

The hotel has a great spread for breakfast - but do buy the Travel Republic offer with breakfast voucher included, because if you don't, it's VERY VERY expensive to eat anything there - Club Sandwich €32…hot chocolate €12?

SOoo, don't go there if paying silly money for things upsets you, as you really won't enjoy it and you'll spend the whole time being knocked off your feet by the prices - BUT, if you choose carefully, and you love being part of something glitzy and enjoy feeling special for a little moment in time, this hotel is the place to be.

Lovely Spa on the 7th Floor, evenings in the bar, live piano, nice place to chill.

Star attraction - The hotel's beach, 'Z Plage' - totally amazing, really very special. The food quality is not the point - it's the atmosphere - jazz, sunshine, cocktails (€22) or smoothies (€14) on the beach. The restaurant itself is also really comfortable and beautifully designed. Treat yourself to their Confucius salad, delicious and more affordable than other menu items. That said, the hamburger can easily be a one between two, they're enormous!

If you're lucky at this time of year, the weather can be really warm and sunny, so the Martinez makes a fabulous break.
Top Tip: Vesuvio Italian restaurant - best pizza you can buy as a take away around €15 a pizza. In the restaurant itself - amazingly good Italian food - pretty expensive if you go beyond the pizza, but really abundant portions and excellent quality. Calves liver or Filet Steak with real porcini is fabulous. You can't book - and you have to get there before 7:15pm or you won't get in until after 9:30pm…

Lebanese around the corner for wraps as a takeaway are a good choice when you're having a panic attack about whether you can afford to eat at all in Cannes!

Really posh place, full of character.
Its is an old classic beautiful building , on the best location ,right on the beach.

We were four days in a grand twin room, with a partial view of the sea, Its a huge 30 sq m room ,moderenised and really comfortable. Marbled.Bathroom was huge with separate sinks.
Service was the most efficient and quick. No tea coffee facilities in the room but they were good to provide these free, without any delay.

. Breakfast was excellent with the nicest views and class cutlery and crockery.
Bar area is a bit outdated and dim. Prices for the drinks were far too expensive.
Couldn't take any meals as there were lot of eating places around.
Spa area was limited for such a five star. No steam or jaccuzi and the pool being outside and far away.
Overall one of the best luxury hotels.
Top Tip: Old town with numerous eating places are worth a visit
