Our customer reviews
Nikhil from London
We booked this hotel with great expectations and when we saw the room we weren't disappointed (the renovated side).
However, the rooms do not have air conditioning/fans and rooms got quite warm at night (summer time) and received road noise by opening the windows. Try to get a room on the back of the hotel (i.e. not facing the road).
Tea/Coffee facilities provided however with no milk (no fridge either) and mugs weren't changed on a daily basis (fresh cups only provided at beginning of stay).
We had great difficulty contacting reception and never got through even after asking reception to check our phone. So whenever we needed anything, we walked down to reception.
Breakfast was fantastic and a lot variety - omelettes and sweet crepes made to order! Only on the last day, for some reason there were quite a few fruit flies in the dining area. Not sure why.

Great location for winter sports and summer holidays, right by the railway station. Chamonix is however a very expensive base, and the cost of this hotel, and associated restaurants, is very high for what you get.
Service was geberally good, food (buffet tried twice) more than acceptable - but expensive.
Rooms OK but a bit tired, and things like towels pretty poor quality.
if this was anywhere else but Chamonix you would be astonished at the cost!
“ Top Tip: Great cafe/bar/restaurant withing 100 metres of the hotel - Elevation 1904 - great service and lovely food in a lively friendly atmosphere. Much better than the hotel!

“ Very well located within 200 yards of the town centre. Rooms are very basic but clean. Breakfast was very good & worthy of a much higher quality hotel. Drinks and car park were expensive. Overall very good & would definately recommend.
