Jimmy's Apartments

Sidari, Corfu, Greece

2 Star Apartment

Info

It’s no wonder people return here year after year. Run by Jimmy and his family, this small and friendly complex has a fun and welcoming atmosphere. It’s in a great spot, too. Sidari’s soft sands and resort centre are an easy ten minute stroll. So you won’t have to worry about catching buses or paying for cabs when you want to head out. And when you want to escape from it all and relax in familiar surroundings, Jimmy’s is just the ticket. A dinky complex with just 21 apartments, it never feels crowded here. Sitting in attractive gardens peppered with palm trees and plants, it’s made up of just two whitewashed buildings. And the rooms themselves are light and airy with modern furnishings, a kitchenette and balcony. At the heart of the grounds is the swimming pool. Sunk into a sun terrace that’s backed by manicured lawns, there are plenty of sun beds and parasols dotted about. And if you’ve got little ones with you, they’ve got a separate paddling pool to splash about in. There’s also a poolside bar serving snack and drinks, which comes to life after dark. If you’re looking for somewhere you won’t be a room number, it has to be Jimmy’s Apartments. This is the place where everyone knows your name.

Jimmy's ticks all the boxes, Highly recommended. Will return one day for sure.
Top Tip: All the restaurants are good. We ate at many different places and never once had a bad meal. Madisons a very friendly place for a drink and Sea Breeze has a very good and free Greek night. Highly recommended.

The apartments are kept beautifully clean, friendly and helpful owners, apart from a dog barking in the next building it was a lovely place to stay.
Top Tip: The back road to go into sidari is a much safer walk although we only used it once because there had been quite abit of rain before we arrived and found the track completely flooded so struggled to get along it. Taxis from the centre of sadira only cost 5 euros so are the safest way home when it's dark.

the staff at Jimmy's Apartment were very nice, & helpful. it was a 10-15min walk to the main street & beach. For us the lack of comfortable chairs when it rained for 2 days was bit of a letdown, however basic & clean. Sunset beach, was beautiful, but at 10euros each way taxi trip, its expenstive to get to, unless you're able to walk it, if you want peace & quite, this is the place to be, however we thought it was too far from Corfu town and would'nt visit again.
Top Tip: DO NOT book the glass bottom boat trip, the advertising was a lie, the sea lions were captive and kept in appalling conditions the divers had the lobster, star fish & squild in a tank, which they them took out for pictures, it wasnt worthe the 50euros (2adults) and took 2 hrs to get into corfu with pick up stops every couple of miles. The grand tour was ok, again 50euros for 2 adults but we were'nt told we would have to pay (until we were on the tour) to enter the Achilles muesem & again for a short boat trip. coffe & cake is very expensitive so be ready to hand over 10plus euros for this treat.

the best budget meal was a san remo on the main street, 5.5euros for a half of chicken & chips.
