The hotel was ideal for what we wanted on our holiday. It is seconds away from the beach and restaurants on the main road. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The pool was lovely and we also loved the happy hour at the pool bar! Overall a very enjoyable and relaxing stay.
Top Tip: Loads of great places to eat. Nireas is a lovely and friendly beachside cafe just across the road from the hotel. It is run by a family who welcome you with a hug! If you want something simple and not too expensive then this is ideal. I would also recommend going to The Olive Tree and Waves restaurant in Platanias as the food there is excellent.
We found the best place to go on the beach was Costas as the sunbeds were good value for money and it had good food and atmosphere.
Although a long drive/bus journey through the mountains with some very steep drops at the side of the road, a trip to Elafonisi is definitely worthwhile.

Hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Hotel had a great large deep pool. Great lunches at pool side bar. We were half board and breakfast and evening meal were great with lots of variety. Rooms were cleaned every day and were a decent size. Air conditioning in rooms but for one room this cost €35 for the week. Wifi was available and came at an additional cost but this was only €18 for 3 devices for the week. We chose this hotel based on its reasonable room rates and were not disappointed. Only 2 minute walk to bars, shops and beach. Beach was lovely - sandy and gently sloping. We would certainly return.
Top Tip: Mama mias bar had good live music. Bus to Chania was very local to the hotel, ran every half hour and last one back was midnight meaning we could have good evenings out in chania and get back cheaply €1.60

We have just spent a week at the Atrion and were a family group of eleven. We received a warm and friendly welcome from all the staff. Both Anna's were really helpful. Vangelis the bar tender was great fun and served great food, massive portions at good prices. Happy hour was particularly good for cocktails. The pool is magnificent and perfect for children with lots of space and plenty of sun loungers. The children loved the magic show and the magician was very good with the youngsters and made them balloon animals at the end of the show. Thanks to everyone at the Atrion for making our stay so memorable.
Top Tip: Across the road on Gorgona beach the mermaid restaurant served such good food. The children played on the sand whilst we enjoyed the sunset. Great value, superb service, nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.
