“ The location is really good however the quality of the hotel experience is extremely poor. The rooms are small, unpleasant and the fridge is pointless because it doesn't work properly and when we asked about this they replied with 'yeah thats just how it is', the shower holder was also broken which is extremely annoying. The breakfast is one of the poorest i have experienced in Crete, the tea was non drinkable, there was a limited selection of food on offer, what was on offer was bland, with only toast for vegetarians. After breakfast me and my partner had stomach ache for the rest of the day, i have a feeling that this was down to the water they provide being from the tap. Staff at the hotel were slow, unhelpful and unfriendly, i would recommend staying somewhere else where custom is appreciated.
“ Top Tip: On leaving the hotel door, turn right and head down the main busy market street - then take the first right to enjoy a lovely selection of cretan meze for ten euros - staff are very friendly & speak english well. Take a second right for more traditionally cooked greek food.

Nigel from Droitwich Spa
exceptionally helpful and friendly staff
very nice room but dreadfully noisy traffic in the early hours
mediocre breakfast - when will the Greeks learn what the rest of the world wants?
lovely "Garden" restaurant recommended by the girl at reception
Tombrouk beach quite nice

“ It might be an idea for people to know that the Archeological Museum is closed for renovations (not that any work was visible) and the re-openiong date is a mystery. As there is not even a temporary exhibition there is no access to all the Minoan frescos and artifacts from Knossos. As that is what most people go to Heraklion for it is a major disappoiontment. They are obvioulsy not publicising this to avoid losing tourists. That said we really liked Heraklion and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in an excellent location and provided us with everything we could have needed. Recommended.

“ Extremely good time
“ Top Tip: Central location makes it ideal for access to restaurants, the harbour and historical sites.
