We liked this hotel but if we had a room more far from the bar and reception we were the happiest. Our room was too noisy and we could sleep only when the music stopped. When we asked Maria receptionist after first night, she said that it only one evening but loud music was every night until midnight.
Top Tip: Unfortunately we didn't find any special close to the hotel. The nearest shop is 500 metres but the nearest willage Panormos is 2,5-3,0 km.

Excellent service and staff very friendly and helpful.
The only thing that I would criticise would be the transfer. There was no one to meet us at the airport with our name on a placard as stated and when we phoned the emergency number they told us to go to a desk which did not exist. After half an hour of asking people we found the coach. Once on the coach we had to wait another hour and a half for people from another flight. There were eleven drop offs and it took almost another three hours to reach our destination. I find this totally unacceptable as we missed a whole afternoon of our holiday. We decided to get a taxi back as we did not trust the firm to get us to the airport on time. You may wish to raise this with the company as I find it very unacceptable. I would also like to hear your comments on this.
Such a shame as everything else was perfect.

Please consider that there are not only French staying at this hotel. The animation team in the evening need to be made aware of this. The French male member of the team is racist towards all English people and ignores and avoids them at all times. One of your senior staff should observe him when he visits tables and invites participation, he never approaches an English table, please check it out and you will be shocked to see I am correct.

It was a delightful stay in every respect. The food was spectacular and so varied that it catered for every kind of diet. It is a hotel with class and most of the guests reflected that, respecting other people's privacy. We didn't see any drunken or disorderly behaviour at all. Its a safe place with plenty of lovely short coastal walks on site. It is a remote location - if you need to see anything else you need to hire a car or use the local buses which either take you east or west along the coast. Coming back by bus be prepared for a 500m walk back from the bus stop! The music by the main pool was sometimes loud and not to everyones' taste, but there were other pools available with no music, and delightful coves with sunbeds which were so lovely. You could listen to the sound of crashing waves to your hearts content. There were many places on the resort itself you could escape to. Internet is charged extra - 25 Euro for two weeks, but the connection is good, and you can use it in your room. Beach towels are free to borrow. It took us a few days to realise all that was included on an All Inclusive deal - such as afternoon tea and cake and fruit, access to self - service ice-cream during the day and a great variety of juices and drinks etc in teh bar. The Spa also gave a complimentary treatment for each guest. There were many other things which were lovely. We found all the staff very helpful. On the final day we had to vacate our room by 12 noon but our flight was at night, however we had a safe place to leave our luggage and access to bathrooms etc. One thing I would wish for is free weighing scales - not just for our luggage but for ourselves! All food is buffet style and delicious, very fresh. The fish are caught by a fisherman on site!
Very few of the guests were from England, they were mostly French. You really feel you are abroad, but not necessarily in Greece! The gardens are beautifully kept and very lush and tropical. Everything was very clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would highly recommend it. We hope it will not be spoiled in any way. If you want somewhere top crash out and rest and recover this is the place. If you have more energy and want to sightsee than perhaps this is not the best location. It met our personal needs perfectly.
Top Tip: Rethymno is near by - a return ticket is 4 Euro by bus, which leaves outside the hotel. Buses are at least every hour. A 3 or 4 hour visit to Rethymno is enough. We enjoyed market days - Thursday and Saturday. From Rethymno there are many other places you can visit by bus - we went to Chania - this makes a great daytrip, but it was so nice to come back to the hotel in its peaceful location and to rest. We think that this is a great place especially for families and older adults, or those wanting total peace and quiet. Young adults with more energy would do better in other places.
