This hotel caters mainly for French 'all inclusive' guests. There appeared to be no other English families there. Quite isolated no other amenities within walking distance. Staff are very friendly and food is good. We have stayed at The Creta Marine before and had a great room last time, however this time the room was dated & shabby definately needs a facelift. The beds are firm but comfortable. The mattress is only covered by a thin sheet, no protector so in the morning you are lying on the bare mattress Ugh!

Top Tip: Bali is great for beaches and tavernas. Best Gyros pitta is in Georgeopolis

Unfortunately our paperwork from Travel Republic wasn't on their system. Even though we had paperwork confirmation, including our all inclusive package, it took over 3 hours before we had a room, our mini bar was empty, and we never received the fruit basket, and we had to pay for our food & drink in the meantime!! However, once this was rectified, it was fab.

An excellent hotel. Lovely gardens and everywhere was spottless The food was very very good with an amazing selection at all mealtimes. The hotel is a little remote but with a good bus service to Rethynmon and Panormos. The edge was taken off our holiday as it turned that we were about the only British people there and we felt a little isolated as every thing was geared up for the French. I guess we were probably unlucky that week. The other thing that we thought was missing was the lack of information about local attractions and beauty spots and we found some lovely ones.

Top Tip: Panormos was a little village just a 3 km walk away with some lovely tavernas. One in particular was The Fanari on the right as you come into the village. Lovely people good food especially the lemon yoghurt. Kournas Lake was another beautiful place to visit and the best place to eat and drink there is Georgia's the first taverna on the left before you reach the 2nd way down to the lake. I've always been wary of driving on holiday but I have to say that I would have no fear in this part of Crete.
