We went for October half term. The pool area was lovely with plenty of space and choice of sunbeds. It will probably be a lot different in the height of summer! The food was very nice and enough of a selection to please everyone. There was also a choice of A La Carte if you wanted it(at additional cost) The rooms were spacious and the facilites were excellent and to a high standard. Everywhere was kept spotless. The staff also made the holiday, they were so friendly and helpful. Any problems were dealt with immediately. I went to chill and did just that. We thoroughly enjoyed our stayI and would go back again tomorrow if we could. We couldn't see many restaurants or additional entertainment nearby but it was the end of the season and alot of places were closed but it didn't bother us.
Top Tip: Hire a car for a few days to see other parts of the island.

Big hotel, set quite a distance away from Rhodes town. A taxi to Rhodes costs 8 euros (from hotel10 euros). Bus route quite near hotel. Hotel is very minimalistic. Long bare corridors to the rooms. However, the rooms are spacious, clean, beds very comfortable, tea/coffee making facilities. Big screen tv but BBC World, Bloomberg and Euro News are the only English language stations available. Bathrooms brilliant, two basins, hairdryer, magnifying mirror, scales(!) Jacuzzi/shower bath, separate shower cubicle, lovely toiletries. Food, is very good, buffet style but option to have a la carte, also two other restaurants (to pay) serving Greek or Asian food. Staff are wonderful, all friendly, helpful, nothing too much trouble. Lovely pool area, with good bar/food facilities. Mini market is good with very reasonable prices. Not much for children, but we did visit at end of season (October)Nearby beach is pebbly and a bit grim. Criticism would be the hotel has cold, clinical décor, lots of glass and steel, restaurant feels a bit cafeteria-like. On the whole the hotel is a good 4 star. The hotel staff are the big plus and make such a difference.

This is one of the nicest clean hotels I have ever stayed in.I am already looking into booking it again for next year.Do not take any notice of any poor reviews on here as there are no faults at all with this hotel.
Ixia itself is a bit quiet but it's not expensive to get taxi into old town which is beautiful.
Am 100% returning to this hotel next year.
